GRATEFUL FOR TRUSTING MYSELF

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has taught me to trust myself.

He has taught me to have confidence in myself.

Yesterday I did all my food shopping in Trader Joes's and in ShopRite. I spoke to Madalyn on the phone.....this will be our new tradition. In the evening after dinner I was at PJC learning how to bake a challah.  I will let you know how it comes out today.

Charles is having trouble with his phone. I hope today is a better day.

It's a relaxing day......it's before the Sabbath and I'm getting my hair blown out.  I will also walk at The Home Depot.

I am grateful to you Almighty for all that you have done for me.

GRATEFUL FOR JOY IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for He has allowed me to experience joy in my life.

It was indeed a miracle that the Almighty brought Charles and his family into my life.

Yesterday I drove to Commack and Charles and I went to see The Brutalist.  What a joy it was to discuss the film over dinner at Mario's.  

This morning we brought Matzah to the veterinarian for his medicinal bath and Charlie and I had incredible sex........never before have I felt so sexual.

Today I'm going food shopping and tonight I am taking a cooking class at PJC learning to make a challah.

Thank you Almighty for the joy in my life.

GRATEFUL FOR PEACE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me peace in my life.

I wake up in the morning quietly........there are no strategies for survival in my life anymore.

It's a day to look forward to.

I have also realized that it took over 70 years to develop PTSD.  I will use patience so that I can be in the present moment.  It took time for PTSD to develop.  It will take time for it to disappear.

Yesterday, I attended a Syosset Book Club discussion. I was grateful to be back.  I went to To Be Seen and found a beautiful dress for my wedding reception.  I FaceTimed Charles at the store to show it to him!!!

Today Charles and I are meeting in Commack to see the film, The Brutalist and have dinner.

I am grateful to the Almighty for the peace in my life.

GRATEFUL FOR PATIENCE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because yesterday He reminded me that for over seventy years I have been abused and it will take longer than five years to be rid of those thoughts.

I have been trying BUT will continue to have the PATIENCE to succeed.

Yesterday I cleaned the house and walked at The Home Depot.  I made a meatloaf for dinner and spoke to Charles.

Today I'm going to a BOOK DISCUSSION at the Syosset Library.....my first in a very long time.

I also hope to go to TO BE SEEN to begin to look for a dress for our wedding reception on SUNDAY MARCH 16.

I am grateful for all that you have done for me.

GRATEFUL FOR CHOOSING LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to choose a new life and I'm beyond happy.

GRATEFUL FOR LOVE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has sent Charles into my life and for the first time in my life I have felt love.

Saturday was wonderful.  I said my prayers, read the newspapers and Charles came over.  We talked for about an hour about a potential trip to Block Island.   We watched Wicked and after the Sabbath was over, I made salmon for dinner.

This morning we had incredible sex.  Charles took Matzah for a walk and we had breakfast.

He left to host the guys for football games and we made plans to see The Brutalist on Wednesday.  Today I'm going to get my hair blown out and for a manicure.

I'm taking myself out for dinner.....Sushi it is!!!

Thank you Almighty for showing me love.

GRATEFUL FOR THE MOMENT

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me this moment......in the present......in the now!

I now understand that it is the now that I'm thinking about....that I'm happy about......that I'm smiling about.

The moment is all I have.....the rest is over or hasn't happened yet.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR LIVING IN THE PRESENT

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has taught me to live in the present.

The snow and ice were absolutely terrible.  Charles came to help me because I was afraid to go to the dentist an Kyra in this weather.    He helped me to get to these places.

He went back to the apartment today and I will see him tomorrow.

GRATEFUL FOR HELP

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has sent Charles to me.....and he is a very big help.

There is lots of snow and ice on the side streets.  Charles arrived yesterday and took me to the periodontist where the checkup worked out very well.

Today Charles took Matzah for his medicinal bath and later took me to Kyra.....I in turn took him out to dinner.

Thank you Almighty for the help in my life.

GRATEFUL FOR THE COMFORT IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has sent comfort into my life.

He has sent Charles......I love the way this man hugs me!

Today I'm going to the periodontist.  It is 10 degrees outside and the snow has turned to ice.

How lucky I am that I have Charles by my side.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAYI

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me a new day.

It's really, really cold outside.  We had a snowstorm and everything turned to ice.

I am home in my wonderful warm house.

I am happy, healthy and calm.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING TO ADAPT TO CHANGE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He is teaching me to adapt to change.

Charles has been here since Saturday.   He had a game to go to Saturday night and horse shoes on Sunday morning.

I was able to walk and say my prayers quietly at home.

It snowed on Sunday.....we got 4 inches and it's turned to ice.

Charles will be back on Wednesday to help me go to the periodontist and on Thursday to take Matzah in for his bath and for my appointment with Kyra.

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am learning to adapt to change.

GRATEUL FOR ACCEPTING CHANGE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me to learn to accept change.

There were big changes that I made in my life........all through the years and I moved forward very happily.   There were career changes, decisions as to where to live, whether to have children and most recently.....marriage.  Each change moved me forward and helped me to be happy and content with my life.  Sadly I do suffer from PTSD but I try very hard to control it.

I am grateful to the Almighty for helping me.  He has always been there for me and I hope that this will continue for the rest of my life.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL ANNIVERSARY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to have a wonderful anniversary with Charles.

I made salmon for dinner.   We had sexing planned our vacation trips for this year.  

It was wonderful.

GRATEFUL FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed us to celebrate our ONE MONTH ANNIVERSARY.

While that may sound funny.....I am so beyond happy!

Yesterday I went to the dentist to check my implant....all is fine and I have to go back in a month.  I had the oil changed in my vehicle.  I walked at The Home Depot too.  I had dinner with Margie and got a manicure and my necklaces changed.

Thank you Almighty for my happiness.

Today I have a dental appointment to check my implant which was loose.

I'm having dinner with Margie.

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to wake up to the joy of a new day.

We played Mahjong last night and I won not one but two games.

Today I woke up on a very cold morning and am still in my pajamas.

I'm so happy.

GRATEFUL FOR A WINTER'S DAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has chosen to give me a raw winter's day.

Unlike the past,  I can breathe and live in my home and enjoy it.

Unlike the past I can stay in my home.

Unlike the past....there is love in my home with my new husband Charles and we will celebrate our one month anniversary on Thursday January 16.

Unlike the past.....I am happy and calm and contented.

Today I will play Mahjong with the girls.

I am grateful to the Almighty for all that He has given me.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING MARRIED

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to be married to a wonderful man.

Yesterday was Remi's 7th birthday and he had a wonderful party at a Sports Complex in Glendale. Charles and I went and it was a joy to walk with Charles, introduce him to people and watch him chat with everyone.

Thank you Almighty for this gift.

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me a snowy day.

I have just completed saying my prayers at home.

Charles came and soon we will be on our way to Remi's party.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING PROUD OF ME

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to be very proud of me.

Despite all the abuse I suffered growing up and with the creature.......I achieved all the things that I wanted to with the help pf the Almighty.

I am not overthinking my life because I have learned from Charles how destructive that it.

I am grateful to the Almighty for sending Charles and allowing me to be proud of myself.

GRATEFUL FOR THE CHANGES IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to accept the changes in my life and create a beautiful life for myself.

As a result of meeting Charles I am learning how not to overthink and I am grateful for this.

I am pursuing all of my activities.....for example I attended the Sisterhood Book Club last night and also walked in The Home Depot.

I am grateful to the Almighty for the love that He has given me.

I'm back in Plainview NOW......BUT I was in the apartment in St. James with my husband since New Years.
