The Shabbat Festival last night was wonderful and I shared it with Charles.
I'm heading to services and then off to St. James with Charles for the weekend.

Yesterday was a busy day filled with chores and errands BUT with the assistance of the Almighty, I was able to accomplish everything that I needed to do. I even had an appointment with Michael and Kyra.
I picked up my Matzah charm from Solomon's. I will remember that little dog all my life and hope to see him in the hereafter.
Today is the beginning of the Sabbath. My hair will be blown out by Louis. I will walk at The Home Depot and enjoy the day.
Charles will be coming and we will be going to PJC for dinner and an interesting program to bring in the Sabbath.
I am grateful to the Almighty for all that He has done for me.

I am grateful to the Almighty because I woke up in my own bed this morning.
I beyond love Charles BUT it felt good to wake up in my own home and begin my routine again.
It's been a hard week starting with acknowledging the death of the Creature, then mourning Matzah would has gone to doggie heaven and then the Blizzard of '26.
I'm back today. I'm going to walk.......get a manicure and do all the things that I love to do......plus Relax!!!

We were together in the apartment for the entire BLIZZARD OF 2026. It was absolutely wonderful.
I'm home now in Plainview.
Charles will be with me on Friday as we will go to Plainview Jewish Center for a dinner and a New York New York Experience.

Charles and I had him from Wednesday to Friday for Mid-Winter Break and he was wonderful. We took him to the apartment and everything worked out.

Last night we went to a wonderful Valentine's Day Dance at Monroe's in Westbury.
Today will be a quiet day as tomorrow we have to put Matzah to sleep.
I have cried my eyes out about this. It's for the best though.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed Charles and I to celebrate our first year of marriage by taking our vows again at the Town Hall of Oyster Bay.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me FEBRUARY 12....the day that THE CREATURE DIED and I was free to have a life.
So much has happened in the past eight years that I am so grateful for. I'm free. I'm safe and secure. I became a Grandma twice. I'm married to a wonderful man. I thank the Almighty because I am healthy and happy.
It's hard also because today I have to pick up Matzah from boarding and Monday I will be putting him to sleep.
However, I will live in today's moment nd celebrate my freedom.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to have 4 days at the apartment to think about Matzah and to mourn his up and coming death.
It's tough but I have managed to recognize that the quality of his life is over and that it's time to let him go.
It was a quiet time at the apartment what with the horrible weather. Charlie caught a cold. We talked, hugged, and watched television.
I am home now and soon will be going food shopping.
Thank you Almighty for allowing me to let go of Matzah.

I will miss Matzah terribly BUT putting him down is the right thing to do.
He has no quality of life and I will be setting him free.

Matzah has been with m for 15 years. We both are best friends and have wonderful memories of each other. It is his time to cross The Rainbow Bridge soon. I will miss him but will cherish our time together.

Matzah is going to be 15. He has severe dementia and poops and pees without any understanding in the house. He doesn't play or wag his tail. He can't walk without assistance. It is time to let him go to doggie heaven.
I am grateful to the Almighty for allowing him to live as long as he did.....healthy and happy.
He is in pain now with arthritis.
He has to be carried in and out of the veterinarian.
I will be putting him to sleep on Monday February 16 at 3:30 with Charles.
I will truly miss him.
He is my best friend.

I am grateful to th Almighty because He has made me a very resilient person.
I must do something really difficult today.......talk to the veterinarian about putting Matzah down. He has dementia and is not in control of urine or bowl. It's a tough situation.....I will miss him dearly.

We went to a Japanese restaurant in Commack because it was Restaurant Week on Long Island. We watched the film Blue Moon and went to the Sports Book Club to discuss a book about Jimmy Breslin.
We talked. We slept together.
