GRATEFUL FOR ACCEPTING THE PRESENT

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I am learning to accept the present from him.

Hilary hurt me a great deal when after Charles and I chose a cemetery......she texted me that when the time comes......she may not be able to visit because it's far away from her father.  I was amazed at this and hurt too.  After a while I realized that this is who she has always been and I can't change her.  I moved on into the moment and found myself much happier.

Yesterday was a really busy day.  I got my hair blown out.......walked at The Home Depot .........bought a beautiful pair of Chanel sunglasses.....gassed up the car..... mailed a bill at the post office.....had dinner at Pasteria.

Today I will attend services and then Matzah and I will head out to St. James.  I need to come back Tuesday for a bit because my countertops are being put in but then I'll go back to St. James until Thursday.

I am grateful to the Almighty for all that He has done for me.

GRATEFUL FOR LIVING IN THE NOW

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has taught me to live in the NOW.

Today is a beautiful day.  The sun is finally out.  The humidity is low. I'm going to get my chores done. I'm going to get my hair blown out after that wonderful manicure/pedicure that I had yesterday.  I will try to go to the pool too.  I will walk too.

I've been going out to dinner all week because Freddy took down my counter tops and backsplashes.

Tomorrow I will be at PJC services and then Matzah and I will head out to St. James until Wednesday.

I am grateful to the Almighty for all that He has done for me.

GRATEFUL FOR MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has been by my side and has helped me to achieve my goals. 

The Almighty has sent Freddy who is my friend and handyman and recently is helping me to put new countertops and backsplashes in my kitchen...and I'm getting a new sink and faucet too. Freddy speaks Spanish so he is able to talk to the company that I'm using where everyone speaks Spanish.

Charles is a dream come true.  Yesterday we went to Locust Valley to the cemetery and found a place where we would like to be buried together.  I am so grateful that Charles in in my life.

Dana will NOT be coming today and so I have a free day to BE.  I'm going to walk and get a manicure/pedicure.

Thank you Almighty for being there in my life and helping to guide me.

GRATEFUL FOR THE EXCITEMENT IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the excitement that He has chosen to give me.

My kitchen countertops and backsplash are finally being redone in granite!!!!  It will look absolutely beautiful.  The entire kitchen is upside down so I don't have to shop or cook!!!  I've been going out for dinner.

Charles will be here this morning as we are going to look for cemetery plots as I really don't want to be buried next to The Creature.  I hope that the Almighty lets me live a long time!  I really love those little grandkids the I have.  Charlie and I will be buried together!!!

Thank you Almighty for all the joy in my life.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty for a new day.

I am healthy.  I am happy.

Last night I hosted Mahjong at my house.  It was lots of fun.

Today will be a busy day.  Matzah is going for his bath.  I've got errands to do and phone calls to make. Freddy is coming to rip out the old kitchen counter and back splash so that the company can begin the process of putting in my new one.

I will walk....I will read....I will go out to dinner.

It's a good day.

GRATEFUL FOR AN AMAZING MONDAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the amazing Monday that He has given me.

Freddy and I went to Babylon to order a new counter top/backsplash/sink and faucet for my kitchen. It's wonderful having Freddy with me to order items and I get to ride in his truck.  He will be here tomorrow morning taking down the old counter top.  Then I'm to call the new company and they will re-measure and begin the work.

Dom texted me that I will keep Martin's pension until I die which means that I can marry Charlie if I choose to!

I'm having dinner in The Hicksville Diner and playing Mahjong in my house.

I am grateful to the Almighty for all of this.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the wonderful weekend that He has chosen to give to me.

I attended services and then the fun began!!!

Yesterday was an amazing day!    Remi came and Charles and I spent the afternoon with Remi at the pool.....and then dinner at Pasteria which was a lot of fun.

Today Charles needed to go to a prayer service at ALL OULS EPISCOPAL CHURCH so Remi and I are going to breakfast and all sorts of other things......

More later...........Remi lost a tooth when I took him to The Hicksville Diner for breakfast.  We went to The Cottage Car Wash so Remi could see a vehicle et washed and The Tooth Fairy told me to take him to JB Toy Store to buy him presents and that's where we went next.  Then we went to Denny's to get him a baseball cap and lastly we went to Woodbury Kosher because I was making chicken for Charles and I for dinner and Remi had never been to a butcher.

We picked up Charles at home and went to The Plainview pool to swim and hang out with Remi's mommy and daddy.

They went home and I prepared drinks and a delicious barbecue for Charlie and me.

GRATEFUL FOR THE SABBATH

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me a beautiful Sabbath and I can share it with Charles.

Today I went to services and came home to put my bathing suit on.

Hilary and Izzy are bringing Remi to stay for the weekend and we're going to the pool.

Dinner will be tonight at Pasteria....the little guys favorite place.

GRATEFUL FOR THE JOY IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for all the joy in my life.

Last night I attended the Sisterhood MahJong Tournament at PJC.    Although I didn't win,  I had a lot of fun.  I came home to tell Charles all about it.

Today Dan is coming to fertilize my flowers.  We had terrible thunderstorms last night and everything is wet.  Matzah was so scared that he peed on the floor.

I'm getting my hair colored and blown out to.

I hope o walk at The Home Depot later and do some grocery shopping because Charlie will be here for Sabbath dinner tomorrow night and Remi will be here for the weekend.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me a new day with all of its adventures.

I had a wonderful day yesterday with Dana.  I picked her up at the Hicksville Train Station and we spent the entire day together.  We talked.....we walked at The Huntington Mall....we ate dinner at Mario's.  It truly was a wonderful day.

Today is a quieter one but no less exciting.  Matzah is going for s medicinal bath and I have therapy with Judith.   I have food shopping to do because Remi is coming this weekend and tonight I have a MahJong Tournament.   I played Monday night at Rhonnie's house after dinner at Greek XPress and won 2 games.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this new day.

GRATEFUL FOR THE GOODNESS IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the goodness in my life that He has given me.

It's true that I wake up with PTSD.....BUT that fades slowly as I think of all the things that the Almighty has helped me to accomplish.

I cleaned the house yesterday, walked at The Home Depot, read, spoke to friends and played Mahjong.

Today Dana is coming to hang out and maybe sleep over.

I'm very excited.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING TO LOVE MYSELF

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me to learn to love myself.

Charles and I had a wonderful weekend.  We went to a MET game with Barbara and Joel and had a  great time.  Charles took me out to dinner at Mario's.   Yesterday we went to the pool and I made flounder for dinner.... and we watched Faye Dunaway and sat on the deck.  It was a glorious evening.

I rested with walking at Sunken Meadow with him this morning and decided against it as I was really sleepy.  I am learning to love and take care of myself.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR FREEDOM

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the freedom that He has given me.

This morning it rained terribly and I did not go to services.  I could make this decision because The Creature is no longer alive making it unsafe for me to stay home.  It is a quiet morning and later I will say my prayers.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR OPENING TO NEW ADVENTURES

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to experience new adventures.

Last night was a wonderful example.  My cab service took Charles and me  to Soho to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks to celebrate the alumni of Gannon University on a rooftop facing parts of NYC.  All I can say is, "WOW."

Today will be a quieter day filled with food shopping, walking and reading.

It is the beginning of the Sabbath.

Last night was  wonderful adventure.

GRATEFUL FOR EXCITEMENT

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to have excitement in my life.

Tonight I'm going into Manhattan....to Greenwich Village....to a rooftop party hosted by the alumni of Gannon University and of course I'm going with Charles.

Yesterday I got a manicure and a special blowout for this event.

Yesterday I also paid bills, went to the bank and post office, picked up Matzah from the vet, and went to a Sisterhood Book discussion.

Today is so exciting!!!!   I do have to go to the periodontist though and take Matzah for a bath too.

My entire life changed after The Creature died and the Almighty gave me the courage to move on.

Today the journey continues as Charles and I leave for a vacation in Wildwood Crest New Jersey.
