GRATEFUL FOR BEING ALIVE

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am alive and healthy.

Every day new adventures await me.

Yesterday I hung out with my friend Lenny.  I also bought wine!!!!

I am grateful to the Almighty for these days of peace and quiet.

Today Matzah is being groomed.

I never knew what fun was or what play was.

Now I do and it's wonderful.

I met a guy on a Facebook date link named Dom......Italian....and we have been chatting!

Today I'm getting my hair blown out and a mani/pedi like the old days.

GRATEFUL FOR THE FUN IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has taught me to play and have fun.....things that I never did.  I'm smiling as I write this.

Yesterday my friends came for our "Driveway Lunch."   It was so much fun with so much screaming, arguing and laughing.  We ordered in from Pasteria and you could have heard the yelling, laughing and screaming blocks away.  Next week, it's Debbie's turn to host!!

Today will be quieter.........I will go food shopping and read!!!

This morning I will walk early as I did yesterday.  I hope to walk my two hours.  

The ladies will be coming for our "Driveway Luncheon."

GRATEFUL FOR THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER

I am grateful to the Almighty because today marks the beginning of summer.

I thank the Almighty because I am healthy and happy.

I saw my children and grandchildren this weekend and it was wonderful.  Such wonderful memories!!!  I can't wait for them to return.

Today I will clean house and go back to my usual routine.  I will walk later in the day.

I sleep later, hear the birds singing and stretch when I get up.  These may seem like small things but to me it is part of the entire new joyful wold that the Almighty has given me.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has made me a Grandma.

I hope that He allows me to be happy and healthy for many, many years to come.

My grandson Remi is coming to Grandma's house today.

I have chalk, bubbles and a swimming pool all prepared for him.

I am grateful to you because it was you who let me reach this stage in my life.

We had an amazing time from 10:30AM to 7:15.   Hilary and I walked around the block while Remi used the scooter that I borrowed from Keith and Renee.  He made a beautiful line across my deck with chalk which I will cherish until the rain washes it away.   They met my friends.  And Remi swam in his little pool.

The Almighty has so blessed me and I am so grateful.

Remi and Hilary are coming tomorrow!!!  I have chalk, bubbles, a swimming pool and a doggie for him.

I will be getting my hair blown out by Louis again.

I'm going to Fairway and mailing some bills!!

GRATEFUL THAT I'M A GRANDMA

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has allowed me to become a Grandma.

I hope that He allows me to live a long and healthy life to watch my grandchildren grow up.

Today Seth, Dana and my little Madalyn are coming for Madalyn's first visit to Grandma's house.

I'm beyond excited!!!!

P.S.   The visit was beyond wonderful!!  What a delightful baby Madalyn is.  What joy I had hanging out with Dana and Seth.  And they're coming back on July 11.  Seth has already booked the car!!

GRATEFUL FOR MY NEW LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for my new life.

I am getting chores done.

However, the change is that I've learned to play!!!!  Today Karen is coming over to have lunch and spend the afternoon.

What fun!!!

She is bringing Remi's pool and Dana's birthday cake.

I am grateful to the Almighty for my new life and thank Him for it.

I only hope and pray that I will be worthy of what He has given me.

GRATEFUL FOR EACH NEW DAY

I am grateful to the Almighty for each new day that He has given me.

I am happy, healthy and so in love with life thanks to Him.

Yesterday Gail and Rhonnie came over and we sat in the back on the patio that Freddy had just power washed.  Today I'm going to lunch at Rose's.  We will have Greek food.  I called Jessica and Renee and yes they have scooters that Remi came use when he visits on Saturday.

I've done the laundry and cleaned the entire house as well.  It's a beautiful day and I will walk to Rose's.  I also plan to take a long walk home.  I'm going to invite everyone over to my home next Wednesday.

I am beyond grateful to the Almighty for my life.

I am beyond grateful to the Almighty for all the bliss in my life.

Dana, Seth and Madalyn are visiting me this week.  They are bringing Madalyn for the first time to Grandma's house.  We will celebrate Dana's birthday!!

Hilary is coming on another day and bringing Remi.  I brought him a pool to swim in.

My friends Gail and Rhonnie are doing a safe distance visit today.  Tomorrow I'm off to Rose for lunch as I hosted last week.  Karen is coming Wednesday.

I am truly blessed and I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

I have friends to hang out with and chat with.

I do some many fun things.  Yesterday I got my hair colored purple and trimmed.....finally.

I made plans to invite a friend over on Monday.  On Tuesday I'm having lunch with other friends. Wednesday Karen is coming and bringing my pool.  Thursday Dana, Seth and Madalyn are visiting. Saturday I hope to see Remi.

I read.  I walk.

GRATEFUL FOR ENJOYING THE FUN IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has enabled me to enjoy the fun in my life.

Admittedly it does take time to get used to "fun"because I am used to being afraid but I am making "baby steps" towards doing this.

Yesterday I invited my friend Gail over for coffee next week.  We will be socially distant like I was with friends on Wednesday.

Today I'm excited because I'm getting my hair cut and colored.

Life is fun and I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR PULLING BACK FROM OOPS THERE I GO AGAIN

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am learning to pull back from......OOPS THERE I GO AGAIN!

Yesterday was a good example of this.

I invited my friends for a PIZZA PARTY LUNCHEON to be held outside in the shade because of COVID 19.  We had a wonderful time.  Dana FaceTimed us with Madalyn because she has known Rhonnie for years and Rose was her teacher.

After they left I couldn't stop thinking about my life and its horrific abuse.

It was only this morning when I did my daily meditation that I realized that I was doing.....OOPS THERE I GO AGAIN and living in the past.

It's so hard but I know what the Almighty has taught me and I will try to move forward.

Matzah will be able to pee and poop on the lawn which now has weed killer.

Today the ladies (Rose, Doris, Debbie, Rhonnie, Zita) will be coming for lunch.  I smile as I write this because what a stereotyped group they are.

I hope to walk with Margie later.

The day should be fun and I will enjoy it.

I will also enjoy being me.

I am grateful to the Almighty because in learning to feel like a tree, I am learning about gain and loss.

One must feel these things and then let them go.

A tree has no arms yet feels things like the weather.  

It then lets it go.

That is a wonderful thing to learn.

GRATEFUL FOR THE SOUND OF BIRDS

I am grateful to the Almighty because last night was a beautiful night.  I kept the windows open and this morning I was able to hear all the birds begin their songs at 4AM.

It was delightful because I could feel their pleasure ad joy in welcoming a new day.......

That is exactly how I feel when I wake up.  It's the joy of another day.  It's another day just "to be and "breathe."

I am grateful to the Almighty for these feelings.

I am grateful to the Almighty because even though I do have sad memories I do not let them cloud my joy of a new day.

Today I spoke with Judith.

Matzah went to the vet and his ears and skin are fine and he got a bath.

I went to Fairway.

I FaceTimed with my grandkids.

I read the newspapers.

I spoke to my friends.

I walked.

Life is so much fun!!

Thank you Almighty for teaching me how to enjoy the moment.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING TO USE THE OLD TO BUILD THE NEW

I am grateful to the Almighty because He helped me through the years to use the old to build the new.

Every time something horrible happened to me because of my abusers I would move on to do something different......I would get involved in it so I wouldn't have to think about the abuse.

That is how I created a beautiful life outside of this house and now that my abusers are gone I am living the life of my dreams in the home that I always wanted with the good health that the Almighty has granted me and the friends that I was always denied.

May it always be so.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR UNDERSTANDING NEEDS AND WANTS

I am grateful to the Almighty because He is teaching me to understand what I need and what I want.

This morning I was going to get up at 6am to have the oil changed on the truck.  I just couldn't get up that early.  I needed to sleep.......and I did.   And the oil was changed in Sonny's Garage, my new station an hour later.

I wanted to get the truck washed.  I went to my car wash and did it the socially appropriate way.......with me in the truck....going through the machine!

I purchased a pair of sneakers at Incredible Feet doing it curbside.

I'm learning.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAY

I am grateful to the Almighty for a beautiful new day.

I am at peace.  I am very calm and happy.  Many of my friends can't wait for the quarantine to be over and life to return to normal.  I too feel that way.

However I am grateful for the pandemic because it allowed me to be.  I had to remain in my house each day except to buy groceries and go to the pharmacy.  It was during this time that I evaluated and learned to appreciate my new life. I learned what it is to be peaceful and breathe and be safe.  I was able to be and enjoy my new house.  I had done much construction thanks to Freddy and I was able to be at home and appreciate it.

Now we are in Phase 1 and Iim looking forward to getting out and enjoying my life again.  It feels like I'm on vacation.

I am healthy.  I am happy.  

I survived because the Almighty was there every moment of the day....every day of the year for so many years.

I am grateful because the Almighty allowed me to have a wonderful life outside of the house. Now that I'm free, I have combined both parts of me.
