GRATEFUL FOR BEING HAPPY

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am happy with my life.

I have learned to let go of that which doesn't serve me and because of that I let go of the bad as if I was watching a cloud go by.

I did that Thanksgiving Day because of that horrible dinner and found that I really enjoyed the rest of the holiday weekend. I found that in synagogue I smiled and did not feel the need to stroke the fire of my own gossip.   Yesterday I saw the film SPOTLIGHT and we had dinner at our favorite Greek restaurant.  I had a great nights sleep and am ready for the day.

Today I will walk and practice yoga.  I have to replace my walking sunglasses as the others disappeared.  Tonight is my class at The Adult Jewish Institute.

I am happy with my life.

Thank you Almighty.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING IN THE MOMENT

I am grateful to the Almighty because one of my yoga instructors sent me a message asking:  IF YOU AREN'T IN THE PRESENT MOMENT, WHERE DID IT GO??

I do not intend to waste the present.  I intend to enjoy each and every moment of it.  I will be calm, cool, collected and above all, PEACEFUL.

Thank you Almighty for this.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR MY REALIZATIONS

I am grateful to the Almighty for my wonderful new life.  I am also grateful to the Almighty for the new realizations that I have had because of yoga and Him.

I cannot control everything around me.  I really need to continue to work on understanding that I cannot change others instead of beating myself up for what other people are doing.  I did the best that I could with those girls and I am not responsible for what they have become.

I'm working on moving on...........................

Yesterday's film, BROOKLYN, was very good.

Today I will walk, practice yoga and try to get to the mall too.  I want to get to LULULEMON and use the rest of my gift certificate.  (UPDATE:   At yoga today I learned how to fake it and how to see things using a different perspective.  You know that I will use this on Thanksgiving Day.)

Tonight is Rabbi Jay and Jenn's class.  Big fun!!!

Thank you Almighty for these realizations.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR MY NEW LIFE

In this season of gratitude, I am grateful to the Almighty for the wonderful new life that I am living.

It isn't perfect.  I still have to tweak it.  I have my negative times too. However, for the most part, it's a quiet and wonderful life filled with amazing activities.

I did not go to services at PJC this morning.  I went to an amazing spiritual services at Rabbi Jay's (my yoga buddy) synagogue last night.

I changed it up a bit today.  I will pray at home, walk, read, and then attend a Restorative Yoga Workshop With Oils at the studio.  I also need to go to the mall tonight.  I am going to buy a blue laundry coat to wear to yoga.

Thank you Almighty for this day.

I am grateful.

I AM GRATEFUL

I am grateful to the Almighty for so many things:

* I have made space for myself to be able to enjoy my life in retirement without anyone upsetting me.  I know when to speak and when not to and that has given me time.

* I know how to respond rather than react which allows me to be safe in all situations.

* I am working on being positive rather than negative.

* I am grateful for all that I have rather than all that I want.  I have more than I need.

GRATEFUL FOR READING DOREEN'S POST

I am grateful to the Almighty because I arose early and I read Doreen's post.

It really set the tone for my day.

It takes as much energy to be MISERABLE as it does to be STRONG.  I vote for strength for myself.

Today I will walk and practice yoga.

Tonight is the Sabbath.

I have been invited to Rabbi Jay and Jenn's Oneg Shabbat and I am going.  I went last time and it wad a very spiritual experience.

Thank you, Almighty for this.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR GOING TO YOGA

I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga yesterday.

I heard the instructor discussing the idea that w must learn to forgive and forget so that we can move on with our on lives.  I say this as part of my morning mantras while I walk.

What was knew was that she talked about how bad it is to hold on to anger.  I decided to work on that so that I could begin to work on releasing past anger in order to move on with my life.

Today I will walk and practice yoga.  Tonight I will be at Cinema Arts to see a rare showing of The Birth of a Nation.  Bill Jennings, a Hofstra Professor will lead the discussion.

What a wonderful day.

Thank you Almighty.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAY

I am grateful to the Almighty for another new day.

It looks to be a bit windy.  I will be walking at the Walt Whitman Mall and then practicing yoga. We went to see a film called, TRUTH, at Cinema Arts yesterday and it was quite good.  Dinner afterwards was Greek food in a restaurant we like.  I chose my birthday present and we ordered it at Kay Jewelers.  We have also been celebrating his birthday. Last week we wet to a wine tasting that I paid for and tomorrow night I paid for a Sisterhood concert called NEIL DIAMOND.

I am living in the moment.  I am not creating false dreams but I am enjoying the moment.

Tonight is the Sabbath, a time of peace, quiet and reflection of the week.

Thank you Almighty for this new day.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW PERSON

I am grateful to the Almighty because last night I attended a workshop at the studio that celebrated the new moon and the Hindu holiday of light, Dwali.

Both celebrated what I have been grateful to the Almighty for since I began this blog.  They celebrated new beginnings. They celebrated going from darkness into the light.

I too celebrate the new person that I have become and am becoming.  I am a work in progress and with the Almighty's help and guidance will continue to grow and develop.

Thank you Almighty for being there for me.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR NOT BEING STUCK

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am not stuck in the past.

This weekend I realized how much I am in the present and enjoying every moment of it.  I was a person who lamented about the past and always lived in the future.

I am now enjoying every moment of my life.  I am no longer stuck.  I was with a person who was stuck in the past and I saw how harmful this could be.

Thank you Almighty for sending me to yoga to learn this.

I am grateful.
