GRATEFUL FOR A QUIET DAY

I am grateful to the Almighty because today is a peaceful as well as quiet day.

I was going to go to services because it is the holiday of Simchat Torah except my street was paved this morning and it would have been impossible to get the car out.

I stayed home and prayed......even the Yizkor service.

I turned off my central air conditioning and opened the windows. Fall is here!!

I confirmed the dates to cancel the papers because Charles and I will be vacationing.

I read the papers and plan to read my book and straighten a closet.

Charles picked up his cough medicine so I will call him.

It's a pleasant and quiet day.

I am so grateful to the Almighty for this.

Thank you.

GRATITUDE FOR LEARNING ABOUT TO FOCUS ON THE PRESENT

I am grateful that the Almighty sent me to yoga yesterday to practice inLeslie's class.

Her theme was that we should focus on the present.  That is definitely a concept that I'm going to embrace in all aspects of my life.  The YOGA SUTRAS begin with the word: NOW!  I'm going to remember that.

This morning I attended services at PJC and today I will be leaving for Charle's place with one big difference.

MATZAH WILL BE COMING WITH ME AS AN OVERNIGHT UNTIL TOMORROW!!

I will let you know how it goes.

Thank you Almighty for helping me learn to focus on the present.

GRATEFUL FOR A SPIRITUAL AND PRAYER FILLED YOM KIPPUR

I am grateful to the Almighty because I had a spiritual, thoughtful and prayer filled Yom Kippur.

I navigated the entire Holy Day for myself.

I was able to get to services with a wonderful parking spot for Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur and the Nilah service........all with peace, cam and quiet.  I was able to pray deeply.

During break, I went home and read the newspapers, the mail and my book. I even took the dog outside.....all done with calm and quiet.

I didn't want to stay home and think of food.....so I walked for an hour.

My break fast consisted of my breakfast....

May all my prayers come true Almighty.  May I be sealed in The Book of Life with good health and happiness.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me learn how to live in the moment.....which is the only moment that I have.....NOT the PAST or the FUTURE.

It's a wonderful feeling because I know what has to be accomplished that day and when I can play.

I feel balanced and calm.

Charles left to go with his buddies upstate to the cabin in Ulster County in Shandaken.  He will be home Thursday night which is perfect for me because I will be celebrating Yom Kippur Wednesday night into Thursday.  We have already been texting and later chatting.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL LABOR DAY WEEKEND

I am grateful to the Almighty because He gave me a wonderful Labor Day weekend.

I attended services at PJC.  My friend Zita's granddaughter had her Bat Mitzvah. It was lovely as were the services.  It felt good to be back.

Charles was already in my house when I arrived.  I had turned off the alarm and left the kitchen door open.  We went to the pool on a beautiful day and met up with my friend Rose and his friends Ray and Cindy.

I made a delicious dinner and we watched the US OPEN.

This morning we had incredible sex!!!

It's a rainy day so Charles and I will be home today watching Succession and reading.

Tonight we are going to Margarette Grill where we spent last Labor Day.

Thank you Almighty for a wonderful Labor Day weekend and this incredible man.

I am grateful.

GRATEFUL FOR UNDERSTANDING CHANGE AND TRANSITION

I am grateful that the Almighty encouraged me to practice yoga yesterday because the discussion during class was about change and transition.

I have been feeling a bit out of sorts because Summer is rapidly coming an end. This weekend is LABOR DAY WEEKEND.  The summer has been wonderful but still.....

Leslie put it in perspective by explaining that if we take a leap of faith  like HANUMAN did we can begin to see the joy in transition and beautiful changes on the other side.

This is so true because it was last LABOR DAY WEEKEND that Charles slept over and well........the rest is history.

Charles will again be spending the weekend with me.

I am going to services BUT will leave the door unlocked and unalarmed so he can enter.

Yes....there is change and transition BUT there can be beauty on the other side if you just take a leap of faith.

Thank you Almighty for this.

I am grateful.

GRATITUDE FOR MY MIND

I am grateful to the Almighty because He sent me to practice yoga and it was there that I learned so many things.

My mind is not in charge of me.......I am in charge of my mind!!

It is because of that that I slept later because I was tired and I also canceled my yoga classes for today.

Hurricane Ida has gone and n her wake she has left beautiful weather and I'm going to walk later.

I also have food shopping to do.

First I intend to eat breakfast and read.

I am grateful for all the amazing things that the Almighty has done for me.

Thank you.
