Yesterday was the US OPEN.
Today Charles and I practiced yoga in Leslie's STRETH AND FITNESS class.
Then we had brunch.
Today I'm off to do chores.
Charles and I will be together LABOR DAY WEEKEND at my house.

I went to the US OPEN with CHARLES and JANE! It turned out to be a wonderful experience for me. Who would have thought it? Sometimes you have to accept adventure.

I wake up each morning and smile and think about my day and then I get up and it begins.
Yesterday I practiced yoga in Dawn's class. I went food shopping because Charles was coming fr dinner....more so so I could see how he looked and felt after Wednesday. He looked good. I cleaned the house, paid bills and spoke to my friends.
I will be at Charles place for the weekend. We will be going to hear two of the young men that he worked with play in a band in Babylon. Sunday we will be having lunch with Frank and Cathy and returning to Plainview to get ready for the US OPEN on Monday!

I am grateful to the Almighty because I finally know that I'm in love.
Charles and I walked at Sunken Meadow even though there was a terrible heat wave....we walked for about an hour. When we sat down to eat our picnic lunch....he had not had any water and he drank wine and smoked some grass......suddenly he felt light headed and fell off his chair onto the ground. I thought that it was a stroke........thankfully not........but I cried and watched out for him all day.
Today he is going to Fanduel to place bets in New Jersey and coming to me for dinner. I'm worried because he also doesn't eat appropriately.
I truly love this man so much.
I pray to theAlmighty that he is here fr many years to come.

I am grateful to the Almighty for sending me to practice yoga because it was there that I first heard that I must learn to observe myself.
You are in charge of your mind...your mind is not in charge of you.
With that in mind, I try to wake up daily and observe what road my mind is taking...to be able to make changes if I have to.
Today Charles and I are going to Sunken Meadow for a picnic and a day at the beach.

It was a wonderful weekend filled with all sorts of silly things to do.
It feels so good to laugh and be happy.

I left for Charles on Friday and we were able to see an amazing Beatles concert in Kings Park as well as walk at Sunken Meadow.
Saturday morning Dana called to say that she couldn't get a ZIP car and couldn't come out to St. James. At the same time as this, the news changed so the Henri was no longer a Tropical Storm BUT a CATEGORY 1 HURRICANE. We went to Long Beach to look and I got to walk. We came back to Plainview. Charles put all the chairs in my garage......we had dinner in Pasteria and today we're home.
I accept all the changes because I have a loving partner.

Mornings can be difficult for me even though there is such joy in my life.

I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga in Leslie's 6PM class and it was there that I learned how to be present.
It seemed so simple BUT it's not.
Basically what happens is that if you aren't present then you yourself aren't there and you miss the moment. That isn't going to happen to me because I'm going to work on it!!!
Today is a busy day filled with fun things.........practicing yoga in Dawn's class, doing chores, getting my hair colored and cut, packing and going out to eat.

I am grateful to the Almighty because in practicing yoga in Leslie's class yesterday I was reminded again of the MIND-BODY CONNECTION.
When I read my books in the morning I am always reminded of the fact that we need to be aware of what we are thinking because it can affect how we feel....it can affect how our body feels. The suggestion made is to always be in the present.
Today I slept later because my body needed to do that. My mind was grateful that Dana and Seth are visiting Charles and me on Saturday and so Dana is not coming today.
It's a FREE DAY to be me!!!

Today will be a wonderful day. I'm practicing in Leslie's stretch class this morning. I'm mailing bills and Michael's birthday card. I will drop off my Sisterhood dues at PJC and have brunch with Margie. Afterwards I need to go to ShopRite for salmon for dinner. I will walk too an get a pedicure.

I practiced yoga in Leslie's class this morning. She spoke of a college professor who taught a course in happiness. Half of happiness is inherited. Ten per cent is circumstances you face. Forty per cent is the things that you do to make you happy.
My life is so changed and I am so happy.
Yesterday's METS vs DODGERS ball game was a delight. I have never been a MET fan BUT I loved the Dodgers and Yankees. The MET's made so many mistakes and I laughed so much!
Charles went home today and we will speak tonight as we usually do and next weekend will be my turn to go to my summer home.

I went to services at PJC yesterday......what a joy to pray and have kiddish with friends.
Charles and I went to the Plainview pool. I could have cried at how joyful that was.

Tonight we are going to a MET GAME.

Yesterday was Charles and mine FIRST ANNIVERSARY.
I received a beautiful card.
We went to Sunken Meadow and walked the boardwalk, had a wine and cheese lunch at the picnic tables and went to the beach. I love this man. It was a perfect day.
Today I will practice yoga, clean house and do some food shopping.
I'm also having dinner with my friend Zita.
We are in the middle of a heat wave so that's the best thing to do.
