I am grateful to the Almighty because He has watched over me and loved me.
He has given me Charles, my playmate, my friend......the man I love.

Winter Solstice has happened on December 21. Although we are entering Winter....which for me has always been a cold and dark season that I don't like......I will remember to have a positive perspective on everything.

Yesterday I had periodontal surgery. The Lord was by my side and today I feel much better.
I came home yesterday from surgery to clean the kitchen and a bathroom and He was by my side.
I went food shopping and He was by my side.
Stephen visited and the Almighty was with me.
Charles called and the Almighty was there.
Today I am invited to a Holiday Party by Charles. I am getting all dressed up and I'm very excited!!!
More later: It was an absolutely wonderful party. I drove to Charles and we went to the party in Islip. The food was delicious.....the drinks were great and the desserts were out of this world.

He really does love me. He planned this weekend beautifully.
Friday we went to pick a tree for him. We went to Whisper Winery for a Craft Fair and a Wine Tasting. We had a delicious dinner in his apartment and watched West Side Story. Saturday we heard a wonderful concert by the Devotions in the Nesconsett Library and on Saturday night we saw the Christmas Parade which began at the fire department and went all through the town. We walked Lake Avenue picking up raffle tickets from each store that had a snowman and did some shopping in a soap store. Charles won a picture to hang in his apartment. We had Vietnamese food for dinner. Sex was out of this world!!! Sunday we decorated the tree. We visited 2 of my former students....Brian and Russell Berkowitz who live a few blocks from Charles. We again did a wine tasting. Charles made a delicious meatloaf for dinner and we watched Succession.
I am beyond grateful to the Almighty for sending this partner into my life.

I practiced yoga in Dawn's class yesterday and I was grateful to the Almighty because I learned that life needs to be balanced.

Yesterday I packed because today I'm leaving to spend the weekend with Charles. Everything that needed to be done has been completed. I'm proud of me and I hope that the Almighty is also.

Yesterday was a truly wonderful day. I drove to St. James in the morning an attended the Smithtown Sports and History Book Club with Charles. We read Blood and Thunder by Hampton Sides.....I had such fun!

It's supposed to snow today......it's wonderful to have a home to breathe in.
My brother Stephen is supposed to call and get together.

I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga in Leslie's class yesterday and she made me aware of "GIVING AND RECEIVING" and of "BEING BALANCED" and of the importance of "SELF-CARE."
I am truing very hard to take care of myself both spiritually, emotionally and physically so that I will be balanced.
I played MAHJONG last night after I had done all of my chores and errands including taking Matzah to the veterinarian.
Today I will attend the Smithtown Book Discussion that Charles and now myself are a part of. We will discuss BLOOD AND THUNDER by HAMPTON SIDES.
I plan to clean the kitchen and bathroom today and relax.

My Hanukkah party was a huge success.......it was a blended family with Hilary, Izzy, Remi, Charles and me, Shula and Ellie and Michael and Lola. The food came from Ben's.........we lit the Menorah and well......I am grateful to the Almighty for this wonderful day.
Yesterday Charles and I bought his Christmas present........a bag for the golf clubs that I gave him last year........we did other errands too and came home to delicious leftovers and Curb Your Enthusiasm and Succession.
Today I will practice yoga......do chores......take the doggie to the vet and play MahJong.
Life is new.

There are two people in my life that I wish were more loving and caring of me......Stephen.....and Hilary. That is NOT going to ever happen and I need to live in reality.

It's like the start of a new life and the end of an old one. The memories that I have had are floating away like clouds as I make new memories with family, friends and Charles.

I spent it with Charles....at his sister's in Virginia. We drove down and spend the first night in Alexandria and the rest of the holiday at Liz's house in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
What a wonderful time it was!! I have NEVER experienced such joy as I did on this weeklong vacation.
