GRATEFUL FOR MY LIFE

 I am grateful for the life that the Almighty has given me.

Yesterday was an awesome day filled with many, many chores.

Today will be quieter as the Sabbath approaches and Charles spends the weekend with me. Charles will be getting his booster shot at the CVS on Old Country Road today.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty for this beautiful new day.

Yesterday Charles drove me all the way to Clifton New Jersey so that I could visit my family during the High Holidays.

I am so grateful that Charles came into my life.

GRATEFUL THAT THE ALMIGHTY SENT CHARLES

 I am grateful to the Almighty because the Almighty sent Charles into my life.

He is driving me to King Solomon Cemetery in New Jersey so that I can pray before the graves of my family during this High Holiday Season.

Thank you Almighty for sending this man into my life.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL ROSH HASHANAH

 I am grateful to the Almighty because he has given me a wonderful Rosh Hashanah.

It was beautiful and spiritual.  I was able to pray and enjoy the entire service.

I was able TO BE in my own home when I came home.

I was able to have dinner quietly.  I read.  I walked.  I even gt a bit of a sunburn as I took a nap on the lounge chairs.

I hope that the Almighty grants me a Happy and Healthy New Year.

GRATEFUL FOR PRACTICING YOGA TODAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because Charlie and I practiced yoga in Marissa's class today and I learned something very concrete.

Yogis always say: "Let go of that which doesn't serve you so that yo can heal."  Today Marissa spoke of a tree loosing dead leaves and letting them go and moving on.  That is what I am trying to do.......

Charlie and I did all sorts of errands after the class.  I needed to go to Trader Joe's.  I needed gas for the truck.  We had brunch in The French Connection in Plainview.  We visited Lenny.  I came home to finish laundry and the bathroom and kitchen.

Charlie left and I will speak to him Tuesday night.

I hope to have a spiritual Rosh Hashanah without any over thinking.

I am grateful to the Almighty for sending me to practice today.

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I plan to have a beautiful, quiet and spiritual Rosh Hashanah.

GRATEFUL FOR TRUSTING MYSELF

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am beginning to make decisions that are in my best interest.

Charles and I are spending the weekend together.  We had a lovely Sabbath dinner last night.

Today I attended services at PJC and we are making plans for our next vacation.

I tried FaceTiming Dana too.

GRATEFUL FOR THE SABBATH

 I am grateful to the Almighty because tonight is the beginning of the Sabbath.

It is Fall.  Summer and all its fun is a beautiful memory.

I will be at services tomorrow.

I am happy and healthy and ready to enjoy the Sabbath with Charles who will be spending the weekend with me.

GRATEFUL FOR POWER IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has chosen to give me power.

I have the power of choice.  I can decide whether to be involved in something or not.  I can understand that I am powerless to change other people.  I must accept who they are and their relationship to me.

I am grateful to the Almighty for understanding this.

GRATEFUL FOR THE BREATHE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I have learned about the importance of the BREATHE in my life.

I practiced in Leslie's STRETCH CLASS today and while stretching, we were asked to take deep breathes.  She spoke about how these deep breathes help to calm the body and how the body tenses up its muscles because of physical or emotional stress.

Isn't that what happened to me with Dana when she made that horrific phone call early Saturday morning to tell me she's gay????   My jaw really suffered and only now am I feeling better.

I am grateful to the Almighty for teaching me about the breathe.

GRATEFUL FOR THE LIGHT AND BALANCE IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the light and the balance in my life.

I had a wonderful weekend with Charles.  We practiced Goat Yoga at the Smithtown Historical Society.  We volunteered at the Save the Theatre Scavenger Hunt.  We went to the parade in Northport called The Cow Harbor Parade.

I came home early this morning because Charles took his SUV in for service.

I practiced yoga in Leslie's class.

How blessed am I that I am finally living a balanced life?  Chores on the weekdays and playtime on weekends with Charles?

GRATEFUL FOR BEING ME

I am grateful to the Almighty because He is teaching me the importance of being me.......of not over thinking.....of recognizing that I have the power to give myself a very happy life. 

Yesterday I called Dana and she called me back.  It was exactly the phone call that I wanted....we spoke about her new class and Madalyn.  I offered to babysit if Madalyn got sick.  I did not touch any other issues and I didn't intend to.  Im taking care of me.

I walked yesterday.  I did laundry.  I changed sheets and put my new blanket on the bed.   I read Revolutionary Road too.  I had dinner with Margie and spoke to Charles.  

This afternoon I will be leaving for a wonderful weekend with Charles.

 I'm becoming very proud of the strength in me.

GRATEFUL FOR THE POWER IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga in Hollie's class yesterday and she spoke of each of us having the power to make changes in our lives.

I heard that loud and clear.........slowly I am removing my brother from my life as well as Dana. These two people are not healthy to have in my life and it's time to remove them.

What a busy day yesterday was.  After practicing yoga.....I mailed bills........I got a flu shot.....I finished the food shopping at ShopRite.  I went to get a nail fixed.  I signed a contract with Perillo....I set up an appointment for the next Covid booster.......I walked....I made dinner and I read my book.

No wonder I'm exhausted today.

Thank you Almighty for the things that you are teaching me.

I'm healthy......I'm happy.

Life is good!!

Today I will practice yoga and I hope to walk too.

Chores need to be done because that's life too.  I'm going to investigate the flu shot too.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND WITH CHARLES

I am grateful to the Almighty because I had a wonderful weekend with Charles.

There is a lot going on in my life right now.......there's my brother....there's Dana.

However when I'm with Charles I am beyond happy......happy doing nothing....happy doing something.

Thank you Almighty for sending Charles into my life.

GRATEFUL FOR SEEING THE BEAUTY IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I have begun to do two things that I've not done before.

I read my meditation books this morning and I'm now beginning to think of the beauty in my life and the beauty that surrounds me.

I am also practicing NOT OVERTHINKING!

This afternoon Matzah will be boarded in Plainview Animal Hospital and I will be on my way to spend the weekend with Charles.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR LOVE

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the love that Charles has given me.

Life can be very difficult for me BUT each time with him is a joy.

Yesterday we went to the US OPEN.  It was wonderful and just seeing how much he enjoyed it made my heart happy.......I never saw anyone happy with what I did.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL SOUTHAMPTON VACATION WITH CHARLES

I am grateful to the Almighty for the wonderful vacation that I had with Charles.

 We stayed at The Southhampton Inn.   We went to delicious restaurants for dinner.   Breakfast at the hotel was amazing.  We loved The Classic, The Pow Wow and the concert at Wolffer Estates.

We went to Westhampton Beach and saw a show called Motown at The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Theatre and had dinner at The Patio.  We went to Coopers Beach and swam in the pool.  Charlie rode a bicycle and I walked too.

This morning I came home but not without attending The Sports Book Club where we discussed The Boys.

Thank you Almighty for this wonderful vacation and sending Charles into my life.
