GRATEFUL FOR PUTTING MY BURDENS DOWN

 I am grateful to the Almighty because this morning in one of my Meditation books, I read about putting your burdens down.

The question then became....why am I carrying these burdens with me?  It's rather Pavlovian that I do this because from earliest times....since I was a child....I have been abused and it's time to lay down that burden which is what I'm now working on by using the breathe to Let Go of That Which Doesn't Serve Me!!!

Yesterday was quite a good day.  I mailed Valentine's Day Cards to my grandkids.   I picked up Matzah's new medication and then walked at The Home Depot.

Charles came over and I made Mahi Mahi for dinner.  It was delicious.   I went to a Sisterhood Meeting too.

Charles left this morning and will be back Saturday afternoon.

Today I cleaned....straightened up too!!!   

I have a periodontal appointment and then hope to walk at The Walt Whitman Mall.

I plan to start my new book and I got my pensions.

Life is good thanks to the Almighty and I intend to make it better by letting go of my burdens.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because in reading my Meditation Books this morning I learned that I must treat myself with unconditional love.

I must love myself.

I am grateful that I learned this because all through my entire life....I have been abused emotionally and verbally.

It is the Almighty who brought me to understand that I am worthy of love and can love myself unconditionally.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR APPRECIATING MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me begin to appreciate my life.

This is not to say that early mornings aren't hard with PTSD but I'm moving forward even though the miserable weather doesn't help.

I'm getting reading done.  I'm getting chores done.  I'm speaking to friends and of course Charles.

I'm appreciating my life especially when I watch BBC and all the misery in the world.

Tonight I have a PJC congregation meeting and I'm going.

I am grateful to the Almighty for being there with me always.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL OVERNIGHT WITH CHARLES

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I had a wonderful overnight with Charles.

He brought in dinner from Uncle Giusseppe's on Saturday night. It was delicious and then we watched a terrific film called The Holdover's.

Sunday also was a wonderful day.  The guys came over to watch 2 football games and I went home.

It was a wonderful overnight.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR TAKING CARE OF ME

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He is taking care of me.

I was going to go to services today BUT i was exhausted and couldn't get up early.  A voice told me that I should sleep and get up later and say my prayers.

That's exactly what I did.  I also read the newspapers and finished the book Sonny.  I will start a new one soon.

I'm off to Charles with Matzah!   Big fun!

ENJOY MY LIFE NOW

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He is helping me to enjoy my life NOW!!

From walking at The Home Depot to talking to Karen, Dana and Hilary, to reading the newspapers, I am enjoying each moment of my life.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING IN THE NOW

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me to live in THE NOW and appreciate it.

Charles just left.  I made a delicious salmon dinner for us last night and this morning we had breakfast together.

The day will be filled with medicinal baths for Matzah, a manicure, walking, reading, cleaning my jewelry and just being.

I am grateful to the Almighty for living in the NOW.

GRATEFUL FOR APPRECIATING MY SUCCESSES

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me appreciate my successes.

As I read my yoga/meditation books today, I realized how much I have accomplished in life and I'm very proud of myself.

Thank you Almighty for this realization.

GRATEFUL FOR APPRECIATING MY HOME

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I had an absolutely wonderful time at the apartment with Charles.   It was a wonderful week!

It also helped me to appreciate my life.  I can have two homes and enjoy each one of them.

I am enjoying my life and grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL VACATION WITH CHARLES

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I am having a WONDERFUL VACATION AT THE APARTMENT WITH CHARLES AND MATZAH.

It's just what I dreamed of all my life.

GRATEFUL FOR THE BREATHE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the breathe that He has given to me.  It helps me rid myself of anxiety.

Charles left this morning with my perishable groceries and Matzah.  I will be leaving tonight after dinner with the girls and Mahjong to St. James where Charles and I will spend the week together in our apartment......our love nest!

I practiced yoga in Leslie's class today....that makes the third day in a row that I've practiced and I feel much better.

It was a brilliant idea to rent an apartment with Charles...it gives me a wonderful second home!  I'm cleaning he house today so everything is in order when I return next week.

Thank you Almighty for my new life.

GRATEFUL FOR STILLNESS

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the still moment in my life.

Remi's party was wonderful!!!   My little grandson is 6 years old.  After the party Charles and I were invited to Hilary's apartment and we had a lovely time.   I took them out to dinner too.

Today I was able to practice yoga as well as walk at The Home Depot.

I'm proud of me.

GRATEFUL FOR THE SABBATH

 I am grateful to the Almighty because tonight is the beginning of the Sabbath and Charles will be here this weekend.

We have Remi's birthday party tomorrow plus we were invited by Hilary and Izzy up to their apartment.  Both of us are excited.  Sunday we will begin to plan for our summer vacations!!!

My plan for defeating PTSD is working.   I am concentrating on the moment and really concentrating leaving very little to no room for the past.

I am practicing yoga today and getting my hair blown out.  I am very happy to be going back to yoga!!

GRATEFUL TO BE FREE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He is helping me to let go of that which doesn't serve you.....so that you can step into your future of joy!

I am beginning that process slowly. PTSD attacks me in the morning and it is at that time that I tell myself that these are emotions and to let go so that I can enjoy the moment.

Thanks to the Almighty, I am making progress and I am grateful for this.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING ABOUT MYSELF

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I am slowly learning about myself.

One can say that this is my goal for 2024.  I have embarked on a challenge that I have created.  I'm trying to lessen PTSD in the morning by concentrating n the positive things that I have done or am going to do.  This process will take time because the abuse happened for a lifetime BUT I am slowly making inroads and I'm proud of me.

This morning Matzah will go for his medicinal bath and I will go food shopping.  I hope to walk at The Home Depot and read also.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING HOME

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I am spending the day honked down.....at home because a big rain/ind storm is coming today.

I won a Mahjong game last night!!!

I'm still in my pajamas and it's after 12:00.

I will go out to do some short errands and walk at The Home Depot BUT I am grateful to the Almighty for this wonderful day.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND WITH CHARLES

I am so grateful to the Almighty because I had a wonderful weekend with Charles.

My Sabbath dinner on Friday night was wonderful as were services on Saturday....one was the regular service.....one was to celebrate Israel.

Then I drove out to Charlie and spent a glorious weekend with him.  We stayed in because it snowed and I made a pot roast in his new slow cooker.....delicious!

Today was The Sports Book Club which I facilitated.

I drove home and tonight I'm playing MahJong at Rhonnie's house.

I am grateful to the Almighty for my wonderful weekend.

GRATEFUL FOR THE SABBATH

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the Sabbath.

I am grateful for my Health and my Happiness.  I woke up using the philosophy of Sister Jean and it worked......I stayed in the moment and spoke to the Almighty.  I'm slowly trying to control PTSD.

I enjoyed going to services.....I also caught up with my MahJong plans for Monday......The Hicksville Dinner and Debbie's house.

I'm off to Charles for the weekend.

I can't wait.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I have woken up healthy and happy on this new day.

I'm trying very slowly to make the values of Sister Ann my own.  It's hard when you wake up with PTSD but I'm trying very hard.

This morning I did a great many chores including scheduling my blowout for 11AM because I will be going with Charles to Gus's wake.

I sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Madalyn because she is 4 today and she sang back.  Charles and I bought her many birthday presents while she and Dana visited us in St. James New Years weekend.

Tonight is the Sabbath and life will be calm and quiet to observe the Shabbos.

Thank you Almighty for this beautiful new day.

GRATEFUL FOR READING WAKE UP WITH PURPOSE! BY SISTER JEAN

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I have been reading WAKE UP WITH PURPOSE! for The Sports Book Club.

It has given me a new perspective on my life and how much I have achieved in life.

PTSD has you carry around memories that need to be remembered but no thought about.  I was waking up every morning with the legacy of PTSD.

Reading this book has allowed me to focus on how well the Almighty has helped me achieve my purpose in life and be grateful that the Almighty is in my life.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL VISIT WITH ANITA AND RAY

 I am grateful to the Almighty for a wonderful visit from Ray and Anita.

I NEVER had a relationship with either my husband or his family.  I was always told that I wasn't family.

I am so happy being a "member" of Charles' family.

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He sent Charles into my life.

I so love that man.

GRATEFUL FOR GRANDCHILDREN

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me wonderful grandchildren.

Charles was with me during this holiday week when Remi spent 3 days with us both in Plainview and in St. James.   Then came Dana and Madalyn who shared New Years weekend with us.  What an absolute joyous time it was.

Thank you Almighty for my wonderful grandchildren.
