GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING TO LOVE MYSELF

I am grateful to the Almighty because He is teaching me to love myself.

No matter what is done to me I know what a remarkable person I am and I'm proud of me.

I try not to placate those who aren't kind to me.

I'm learning to move on.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR MY NEW LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for my new life!!!

Yesterday was Remi's second birthday.  We had a lovely party at Hilary and Izzy's.

Today I was up at 5am to be at PJC at 6:15 to name my granddaughter Madalyn Bean.

Later......There was no greater joy than to name Madalyn at PJC among all my synagogue friends!!!!!!

I will practice yoga today and walk and read and enjoy my new life.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW CHAPTER IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for helping me to begin the new chapter in my life.

I spoke with the Rabbi and firmed up naming Madalyn on Monday at the early service.  This weeks Torah portion spoke of the end of Jacob's life as being the best part.....17 years!!!  That's what the Rabbi wants for me.

I have been texting back and forth with Seth and it's a real blessing to do that.

Yesterday I walked at The Home Depot and practiced meditation at The Plainview Center.

Today I will go to Remi's second birthday party and enjoy myself.  I'm bringing the cake and I bought him a new car seat.

Thank you Almighty for a new chapter in my life.

Later.......The party was wonderful.....it was Shula, Ellie and me and we all had a wonderful time.

Tomorrow I will be at the morning minyan to name Madalyn!!

GRATEFUL FOR HEARING ABOUT SOFTNESS

I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga in Leslie's class yesterday.

She said that people our age have accomplished their goals and at this stage should be softer on themselves.

This resonated with me because I am my own worst critic.  I am exploring that in therapy.  Judith says that it comes from being criticized and insulted all my life.

I am trying to be less critical and softer with myself and with the Almighty's hep this can and will happen.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW LIFE

I am beyond grateful to the Almighty for my new life.

It will be Sabbath soon.

What can I say?

I am grateful to the Almighty because I lived to see the birth of a grandson and a granddaughter. May they grow with strength.  My daughters and are are getting along and I have a relationship with my sons- in- law.

I have friends who can call me, laugh or cry with me and drop off gifts freely without fear.

I have PJC, Absolute Yoga, Book Clubs, Walking....,.

Then there is Matzah.

Then there is Freddy.

Thank you Almighty for my new life.

GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I LEARN IN YOGA

I am grateful to the Almighty because He sends me to practice yoga and I learn so much.

Yesterday, in Margaret's class, she spoke about New Years Resolutions from a different perspective.  She talked about thinking of that which you need.  She also spoke about your purpose in life.  It certainly gave me a lot to think about.

Today I practiced yoga in Peggy's class.   She spoke of "This year I need to......"

All of these saying resonated so with me.  I need good health and peace and calmness in my life. I believe that my purpose now is to play.  The end of the sentence, "This year I need to........would be to nourish myself."

I am in a much better place than last year and I am grateful to the Almighty for this.
