GRATEFUL FOR SMILING AND BEING HAPPY

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has taught me to smile and be happy and to be grateful for my life.

Today I'm having lunch at Pasteria with Ronnie, Debbie and Doris.'

Yesterday was my second dental appointment for the inlay.

All went well.

I bought two lovely plants at Hicks on the way home.

I designed a ring with Marc using the last of the diamonds.

I bought a new pair of sneakers.

I paid Pro Quality.

Today my pensions came.

I am grateful to the Almighty for my life.

GRATEFUL FOR MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty as I wake up each morning health and happy and awaiting the new day.

Today is a busy day.

I will walk in the morning and evening because I will be going to Dr. Kurtz at 10am to continue the work on my inlay.

I hope to stop off at Hicks and buys 2 small colorful plants for the deck.

I want to get a new pair of white sneakers as it is the middle of summer and I don't want to wear black ones now.

I hope to get to see Mark so that I can take the last of the diamonds and make a ring.

I'm getting my hair blown out at 4 by Gabby.

Life is fun.

Life is good.

GRATEFUL FOR TRAINING MY MIND

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has sent me so many friends to her me to move forward.

Freddy helped me with the roof problem.

I have so many new activities with Debbie, Gail, Rhonnie, Doris.......

I have met Richard who gave me a new mantra....."TRAIN YOUR MIND TO SEE THE GOOD IN EVERYTHING."

I am headed to a Wednesday outdoor luncheon with my friends.

GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE FRIENDS IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the friends in my life.

Life has changed so and it is wonderful.

Last night I played MahJong at Debbie's house and I couldn't stop laughing.

I walked 2 hours this morning and am waiting for Freddy to come over to assist as a "boyfriend" with the roof situation.

Maybe I'll get to go to Hilldebrand's with Debbie and Rhonnie if the roof episode concludes early.....

GRATEFUL FOR NOT PAINTING IT BLUE

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am NOT going to paint my life blue.

i had a horrible experience yesterday with the roofing contractor.  There was absolutely nothing wrong with the roof.  The Air Conditioning system was clogged and that is what created the leak.

The company scammed me.  This triggered many memories of my mother and him and the way they tried to scam me.

I was painting it blue because of the memories the roofing company triggered.  I'm not going to let that happen.

I'm going to look at the day as a beautiful one and move on.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL FOR ENJOYING THE MOMENT

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am enjoying every moment of my new life.  

Right now my roof is being fixed.

It is the Sabbath and I will say my prayers and enjoy the day!

GRATEFUL FOR THE NEW ME

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has kept me healthy and strong.

He has allowed me to grow and develop.

Yesterday was a wonderful day filled with a manicure/pedicure, getting my hair blown out, Judith as well as Kyra, Marc and jewelry and walking two hours.

Right before I went to bed last night, I noticed a leak coming from the lighting fixture on the ceiling. I called a friend who gave me the name of a roofer.  He's coming this morning.

I did not become hysterical.....it's just another household problem to deal with.

I have grown since last year and I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

Later:  A fellow named Doug came and the roof problem will be handled with a tarp or actual fixing today!!!

Later:  A tarp arrived and when it was placed on the house I went to lunch with Rhonnie and Debbie at Pasteria.......inside!!!!   We went to Target and I got more pool toys for Remi and Madalyn.  Then we were going back to Rhonnie's and I stopped off to buy a 3 scoop ice cream sundae for me!!!!   That was my dinner!!!!

GRATEFUL FOR RIGHTING WRONGS

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am healthy and happy.

I am grateful because the Almighty has given me the ability to right wrongs.  By that I mean that in bringing up my daughters, I served as a role model and now in therapy, I am learning how some of the things I did had a negative affect on them.

Dana constantly justifies why she wants to do certain things and tries to get people to understand, especially Seth ad her mother-in-law.  I did the same thing.  Yesterday we talked about how you don't have to explain or justify why you are making certain choices for your life.  That is your right. I apologized and explained why I did that and why it shouldn't be done.  She was grateful.

Karen visited yesterday.  We went to lunch and Amazing Savings.

Today I will speak with both Judith and Kyra.  I walked for 2 hours. I'm getting my hair blown out as well as a mani/pedi.   Big fun!!

Thank you Almighty for allowing me to right some of the wrongs of my life.

GRATEFUL BECAUSE EACH DAY IS A NEW BEGINNING

I am grateful to the Almighty because when I awake, healthy and happy.........each day is a new beginning.

We still are in the midst of a horrendous heat wave BUT I have already walked for two hours.  I'm proud of me.

Karen is visiting today ad we will hang out!!

GRATEFUL FOR THE JOYS IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the joy in my life.

I had so much fun yesterday with Debbie and Rhonnie.  We went to Starbucks for iced coffee and then to Amazing Savings,  a store that I have never been to.  I have lived in Plainview for a long time but could NEVER have the kind of friendship or activities that I do now.

Today I walked for two hours early in the morning before the heat wave hit again.  I made oatmeal for breakfast.  I watched the news and spoke to Dana.

Later I have to deal with the dentist and my broken tooth.....................

LATER:  I went to Dr. Kurtz and he told me that the tooth was fractured and because half of it was still intact I would need an inlay.   I did this WITHOUT any medication at all. I was quite calm.  It's the me that I always was with the Almighty beside me.

In the evening I zoomed my first Sisterhood meeting.  It was like a comedy.

Thank you Almighty for my life.

RATEFUL FOR MY FAITH IN THE ALMIGHTY

I am grateful to the Almighty for my life......and my health.

I have faith in you.

We are in the middle of a terrible heat wave.  I have already walked and Mike has been here to fix my alarm.

Today I will be meeting Debbie and Rhonnie at Starbucks.

Tomorrow I will go to the dentist to begin the process of fixing my teeth.

I have faith in the Almighty that everything will wok out.

GRATEFUL THAT THE ALMIGHTY IS TAKING CARE OF ME

I am grateful to the Almighty because He always takes good care of me.

Today is the beginning of a major heat wave.  I was able to leave the house at 7 and walk for 2 hours thanks to the Almighty.  I needed to do this because last night Hilary said something that upset me being the person that she is.  I needed to live in the moment, have my endorphins kick in and move on from her sharp narcissistic ways.  Walking does that.

I'm indoors today except to read the paper and hopefully have dinner on the deck.

I feel better already.

I am grateful to the Almighty for a new day.

I am alive and healthy.

It is the Sabbath.

There is a heatwave outside.

In the beauty of my home it is calm, cool and peaceful.

GRATEFUL FOR MY FAITH IN THE ALMIGHTY

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me faith and I have always had faith in Him.

I had a wonderful time at Rhonnie's Driveway Luncheon yesterday until the moment when I broke my tooth.  I came home to find that Michael, my CPA had called.  I had given him paperwork where the IRS showed that I owed another $8500.  He told me we had to go back to the bank statements which are on line.

I didn't get a good nights sleep because of these two things. However when I awoke in the morning I realized that I had faith in the Almighty and that things would work out.

Thank you Almighty for this thought.

Things will work out.

I have faith in you.

I am grateful.

PS....... (LATER)  Things really did work out.  I went to the bank and received copies of these statements.  Michael will pick them up this weekend.  As far as my tooth, that's the never ending of my teeth.....I will begin fixing it next Tuesday!!!

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING WHO I AM

i am grateful to the Almighty because He sent me to yoga and it was there that I began to take Meditation classes.

I am using the COVID 19 Pandemic to learn who I am.

I walk quietly, peacefully and calmly each morning listening to the sounds of creation.

I think about myself......I think about my wants and needs.....I think about what makes me different from others.......what decisions I made in life and why they were made.

I'm beginning to understand that life makes me happy......that peace, quiet and calmness make me happy.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR A WALKING MEDITATION

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am now living a peaceful and calm life in good health.

This has also allowed me to hear the sounds of creation when I walk.  I feel the breeze.  I see the clouds.  I listen to the birds.  I watch the squirrels.  It's a walking meditation that I can have because I am at peace.  I walked for two hours today.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR UNDERSTANDING MYSELF

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am beginning to understand myself.

Yesterday I got a tremendous amount accomplished.  The truck passed inspection.  I went to mail bills t the post office.  I paid my PJC membership.  Michael picked up the income tax information. I purchased items at Bed and Bath and I cleaned the entire house.

Yet I kept thinking about my mother and the creature.  

Finally I realized that Sunday had been the day she died and I was upset because of what she did to me.

I started to count my blessings and realized that I have an entire life to be grateful for and I moved on.

Today I intend to read, walk and relax.  (I walked for 2 1/4 hours.  I even called Apple and updated my computer so that Safari finally closes.)

Thank you Almighty for this wonderful revelation.

GRATEFUL FOR THE STILLNESS IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for the stillness in my life.

I am grateful for the peace and quiet in the morning.

It's so quiet, I can hear my breathe.

I am grateful because I enjoy each day's adventure.

Today I'm bringing the truck to the gas station for his yearly inspection.  I will clean the house too.  Yesterday I loved going to the Walt Whitman Mall.

Each day has another activity in the calm and stillness of my new life.

GRATEFUL FOR WONDERFUL MEMORIES

I am grateful to the Almighty for the wonderful memories that He is making sure that I have.

Yesterday was a truly wonderful day or as my daughters have said, "another wonderful day."

I put pictures on Facebook of the great time that the family had and we are now planning to do it again in August.

Today I was up early to walk.  I will finish the walk after I get off the computer.

I did the was.

The Walt Whitman Mall was open and I went with my mask......

Bloomingdale's was open and I was able to purchase makeup and perfume.

I needed a new pair of sneakers so I went to Incredible Feet.

It's been another wonderful weekend.

Thank you Almighty.

GRATEFUL THAT THE TIMES ARE CHANGING

I am grateful to the Almighty because the times are definitely changing.

My daughters, one son-in-law and my grandchildren are coming today.

I'm setting up the swimming pool and all the other goodies.

We will be having dinner together too.......

I hope that the weather holds up and becomes sunny.  We had Tropical Storm Fay yesterday.

GRATEFUL FOR NEW DREAMS

I am grateful to the Almighty for all my new dreams and realities.

Slowly the stress and the horror of my previous life is fading and is being replaced with new memories.

This is helping me to become aware of what a small part of my life my mother and the creature were.

New memories each morning as I get up make me smile as I plan for another day.

The water heater was checked yesterday.  I made an appointment with Sonny to do my truck's inspection.  Matzah got his shot at the vet.  I got a manicure.  I read, talked to friends, sat on my deck and just looked at the beauty of the world.  I FaceTimed with Hilary and Remi.

I took the plants in because we are getting Tropical Storm Fey.  I'm going to get my hair blown out ad do some food shopping.

Thank you Almighty for my new life and my new dreams.

GRATEFUL FOR UNDERSTANDING HERE AND THERE

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me a wonderful new life filled with joy.

I love my home, my family, my friends and all my wonderful activities.

I was blessed to be content with HERE.....never looking in desire for THERE.

Yesterdays Unbirthday for Doris was so much fun.

Today my new water heater is being checked and I can do errands and enjoy my home.

GRATEFUL FOR THE FEELING OF PEACE

I am grateful to the Almighty for the feeling of peace that I have.

I know this because my stomach is no longer in knots where it took leaving the house to calm down.

I recognized that feeling when I went to Dr. LoPinto as well as Dr. Kurtz.  That's normal to feel. (Both checkups were fine.  I ever got new bonding.)  However I recognized that this is how I used to feel ALL the time.  I am so happy that the Almighty has allowed me to be peaceful.

Today we are having an Unbirthday party for Doris at her house.  It's all part of our Wednesday get togethers.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING ALIVE AND HEALTHY

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am alive and healthy.

Yesterday I went to Dr. LoPinto for my annual eye checkup and nothing had changed.  Today I'm going to Dr. Kurtz to get a new bonding.

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am alive and healthy and really enjoying life.

I'm making preparations for my grandchildren to come on Saturday.  I bought candies and toys. I'm going to my friend Doris for our weekly luncheon tomorrow.  I've purchased the wine.

I'm grateful to the Almighty because he has kept me alive and healthy.

I am grateful to the Almighty because by encouraging me to practice Mindful Meditation, I can enjoy all the beauty of creation in my world.

GRATEFUL FOR MINDFUL MEDITATION

I am grateful to the Almighty because it was the Almighty that encouraged me to practice yoga.

It was there that I learned about mindful meditation.

Yesterday, after a wonderful retirement party for my friend Rhonnie,  I walked at least 3 times. It's easier for my legs that way.  I found myself thinking of something.......not dwelling BUT moving on. I found myself listening to my breathe and really noticing the world around me.

I am grateful to the Almighty for working with me to make this a part of me.  Thank you.
