As I live, as I talk to my therapists, I am beginning to learn who I am and what my needs and wants are. I am beginning to learn how I was psychologically abused so that I never asked for my needs and wants to be met.
This has helped me in the present as I move forward.
I had lunch with Ronnie and Doris and felt the joy in being there. I spoke to Charles last night and felt his love.

Charles left this morning for Lake Placid. His friend Frank has a time share there. He will be back next weekend. It's a weekend with the guys. We had Thai food yesterday and watched The King of Staten Island. It really was a fun day filled with much laughter.

Last night I had fun playing Mahjong with Ronnie and Barbara.
Today I have many, many errands to go on.......happily....starting with going to the service station to change the oil on the truck. Then....the bank, post office, washing the truck, Staples and Bed and Bath. My new bag is arriving today. I hope to walk and get a manicure/pedicure.

I am trying very hard to be kind to myself and it's hard. I'm usually critical of myself because my mother was always critical of me. I'm trying to be kind to myself but it's not easy.
Charles left after class. He took me out for Mexican food last night and it was delicious. We went to Margarita Grill in Hicksville. We will speak tonight after I play Mahjong to figure out how to watch the Inauguration together on Wednesday.
I cleaned the entire house today.... paid bills and will play Mahjong too.

I attended a Sisterhood Zoom meeting this week as well as a Sisterhood Virtual Zoom Auction.
Yesterday Casey White came from Blind Spot and I ordered window treatments for the living room, dining room and kitchen.
Then I drove to Commack, met Charles there and he drove to Sunken Meadow where we walked for 1 hour and 20 minutes on a warm and beautiful day.
He asked me to dinner but I had already prepared it at home and I drove home in the dark from Commack.
We spoke after the Ranger game.
Today I will practice yoga and have my hair blown out.
Charles is arriving at 5 and we have a Buddhist meeting in the evening.

This was talked about last night at Leslie's class. The practice of yoga begins NOW enabling me to be present. Nourishing my soul was a new concept BUT it made sense to me.
I am leaving after the Window Treatment company finishes my order. (I'm replacing the window treatments in the living room, dining room and kitchen.) I'm meeting Charles in Commack and we are going to walk at Sunken Meadow.
I am looking forward to this as a peaceful meditation and something to nourish my soul.

Breakfast was a joy this morning as I watch CNN, eat and then read The NY Times and Newsday.

Charles left yesterday after practicing yoga in Leslie's class with me. I walked at The Home Depot since it was really cold. I mailed my bills and handed in a bank slip for more checks at CVS.

Yesterday was a really nice day. Charles watched a great deal of football and I was able to do many different things. We did take a walk at Hither Hills Park which was absolutely beautiful. I bought Lottery Tickets and Charles bought chicken soup. We watched Part I of Tiger.......also very good! I made a delicious chicken dinner.
Today we will practice yoga in Leslie's class. Charles will go home to return again next weekend.
