GRATEFUL FOR A NEW LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for the wonderful new life that I have!!

I was able to walk 2 hours yesterday ad clean the entire house. I started a ziplock bag of jewelry that I will give to Marc or Robert of things that I no longer need.  I'm beyond happy to have done this!!!! Charles came over and I made dinner and then we watched the debate!!  Wow!!!

Today I am hosting a Driveway Luncheon which Charles is staying fr and then we are going to practice yoga and go out to dinner!!

Charles really validates who I am!!!

I am grateful to the Almighty for this!

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL YOM KIPPUR

 I am grateful to the Almighty for a calm and peaceful Yom Kippur filled with praying for myself and my family for good health, and a long and happy life. I hope that the Almighty hears my prayers ad makes them come true!  Kol Nidre was wonderful. Charles left about 12 and I was able to accomplish everything and then eat and attend services. I came home to read.  I went to services all day the next day.  I was able to pray and concentrate on my feelings of gratitude for this wonderful new life that the Almighty has given me.  There was NO HEADACHE at all and I was grateful. I came home.......had breakfast and lunch......spoke to Charles and Karen and then read....and watched television.  I had 4 cups of coffee!!!!

Today I will walk.  Susan will arrive with my new bags at 10.  I will pay bills and clean the house. Charles will arrive at 4.  He's invited for dinner and to watch the debate.  I invited him until Thursday morning.

Life is so much fun!!! Never in my entire life did I think that I would write this. I don't have to overthink...I just have to enjoy life.

GRATEFUL FOR THE ALMIGHTY WATCHING OVER ME

I am so grateful to the Almighty because He has always watched over me.

Tonight is Kol Nidre......tomorrow is Yom Kippur. I pray to the Almighty so that I might live and be healthy and happy enjoying my new life.

This weekend Charles came over and we walked the length of the Long Beach boardwalk and had dinner at Morrisons.  It was a fantastic night.

This morning I made us coffee and breakfast and we watched a political show on Channel 7 from 10-11.  Then we discussed it.  This is a dream come true.

He will be back on Tuesday at 4 so that I can clean the house as usual. We're going to watch the debate together.  I'll make dinner.  Wednesday we will practice yoga at my studio!! Wow!!

Thank you Almighty for watching over me and allowing me to have this wonderful new life.

GRATEFUL FOR FINDING A MANTRA

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me to discover a mantra that I can say whenever I feel myself slipping into the past.  Here it is!!

Oops!  Here I Go Again!!!

I want to continue enjoying my life in the present moment and NOT create a situation where I'm comparing it to the past.  Judith says this will fade BUT I need something to say and this is it.

Last night I attended my Zoom Buddhist group. It was truly awesome. I read my book for the Sports Book Club too.

Today Charles will be here after services.  I can't wait to see him.

Thank you Almighty for the joys in my life.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING BALANCED

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has balanced my life.

There is work in that there are chores to do. Yesterday for example, I did food shopping at Trader Joe's.  I picked up my medication at CVS.  I put gas in the truck.  I went to Dr. Ludwig, my periodontist and my teeth are fine thanks to the Almighty.

On the other side, there is playtime.  There are friends. I introduced Charles to my friends at our Wednesday Driveway Dining.  I have a steady boyfriend. I practice yoga. I read. I watch television.

I am grateful to the Almighty for my balanced life.

GRATEFUL FOR THE JOY IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for all the joy in my life.

I love that Hilary and Dana FaceTime me on a daily basis.  I love talking to Remi and Madalyn. I'm beyond grateful that I have loving and caring friends.......and I'm grateful for the Almighty bringing Charles into my life.  He made a huge hit with the ladies at our Wednesday Driveway Luncheons.

We were on the phone last night discussing Lovecraft Country.  We will be going to Long Beach on Saturday and he will sleep over.

Today I'll speak with Judith and do some chores.

I have Dr Ludwig later in the afternoon.  I hope that my teeth will be fine....but the Almighty makes that decision.

GRATEFUL FOR THE NEW JOY IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the new joys in my life.

Charles came over yesterday.  We took Matzah to the dog park and then had dinner at Greek XPress.......the place where we met........Wow!!!

And then we had a Wow night!!!!!!

This morning I made breakfast as he walked Matzah......I'm introducing him to my friends today......Double Wow!!!

I am beyond grateful to the Almighty for my new life and the joy in it.

GRATEFUL FOR THE FUN IN MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for all the fun that I am having in my life.

Yesterday was absolutely amazing.

I walked.

I practiced yoga in Leslie's class.

Then I drove out to Commack and Charles and I went to Sunken Meadow Park and walked the boardwalk and the trails.

I came back to have dinner with the girls at Golden Temple and then to play MahJong.

I actually won a game.

Today I'm cleaning the house and paying bills.

I'm going to see Kyra too.

Charles will be coming over and sleeping over. We are going to Greek Xpress for dinner.

Life is so much fun and I am grateful to the Almighty for all of it.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL ROSH HASHANA

 I am grateful to the Almighty for a Rosh Hashana that was peaceful and calm.  I hope that the Almighty hard my prayers and will grant me health and happiness and a long life.  

I was happy to see Charles yesterday and be able to have dinner with him at the holidays end.

Today is another wonderful day.

I will be driving out east to see Charles and walk at Sunken Meadow Park on the boardwalk.

I'm meeting the ladies for dinner and Mahjong.

Thank you Almighty for watching over me. I hope that you continue to do so.

GRATEFUL FOR A FULL LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for the full life that He has given to me.  I shall reflect upon this at services tomorrow and Sunday at the High Holiday services.

My emotions are also balanced.  In the past, it was disgust, anger and fear that I felt while in the house and even growing up.  These are negative emotions. Now I feel emotions both positive and negative.  I especially realized how much courage I had to live the way that I did.

The Almighty has taken care of me and I have a full life.

I will NOT be doing journal entries until Today after the High Holidays.  I hope to be in synagogue both of those days praying to the Almighty for a Happy and Healthy New Year for myself, Charles and my family.

GRATEFUL FOR UNDERTANDING THAT I CONTROL MY EMOTIONS

I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga in Leslie's class yesterday and it was there that I learned that I have control over my emotions.  I can investigate why I feel a certain way and change. I can investigate what memory I am holding and let it go.  There is definitely power in understanding and doing this and I am grateful for this knowledge.

Today I'm getting my hair done for the holiday.

Charles is coming over later.

GRATEFUL FOR GETTING IN TOUCH WITH MY ID

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me to get in touch with my Id.

I am enjoying the child within me and she is actually having fun playing.

I'm going steady.  Charles came over yesterday and I made tofu fo dinner. He had read me an article about new foods people are eating from 1950 to the present. He has never had tofu and so Voila I made tofu for dinner.  I asked him to sleep over and he did.

Today it's back to reality but life is good.

GRATEFUL FOR PRACTICING YOGA

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He sent me to practice yoga and as a result I am better able to cope with the stress and trauma in my past.

Leslie spoke of remembering when I took a class on September 11th.  She spoke of remembering the good things that happen to you and the strength and resilience you had during times of stress and trauma.  It's hard to do especially during the High Holiday season  that BUT I'm trying!!!!

Yesterday she spoke of accepting uncertainty in the word that we are in now.  I have always had uncertainty in my life and I'm usually waiting for the other shoe to drop.  This gets tougher during the High Holiday season BUT I'm trying.

Tonight I will be making a tofu dinner for Charles.  Why tofu?  he read an article to me at the beach about changing foods and he's never had tofu.  Karen, Bob and Bethany may stop by which will be fun for Charles and Karen.

I've got Solomon's to get to and PJC to pick up my masks.  Staples perhaps too.

I'm going to try with the Almighty's help to focus on the gift of the present today.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING TO PLAY AND HAVING A PLAYMATE

 I am grateful to the Almighty because am learning to play and I have a playmate to do this with.

Yesterday I drove to St. James.  I DID NOT get lost at all and Charles and I met at the Millennium Diner and had breakfast. I think that I surprised him because I arrived this first and it surprised me also.  Then we went to Short Beach on the Sound.  I learned how to drive up 111 to Charles's home and I'll do that next time.  We had a picnic lunch too!!!  I left about 4:00 because he had sports to watch......hockey and football.

I went home to make dinner and Charles texted me about watching 20/20 which I did while having dinner.  We had made plans to watch our television show, LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, together and we did by texting while it was on.  Double Wow!!!

Today I've go a lot of chores and dinner with Rhonnie, Debbie and Barbara. One of them is to take Charles"s ring to Solomon's and clean and size it for me to wear.  However I just remembered that Solomon's is closed on Monday so I'm going to put bandaids on it and wear it tonight at dinner. I'm going steady!!!!!

I am grateful to the Almighty for all that He has done for me.

GRATEFUL FOR THE JOYS IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the joy in my life.

Services were wonderful yesterday as usual. Because of Covid 19 they were shorter but very powerful.

Charles came over about 1:30 and we walked the length of Jones Beach.  We had drinks on the deck and dinner at Pasteria.

I'M NOW GOING STEADY.  I HAVE HIS RING AND I WILL BE WEARING IT!!!!

Today I'm driving out to St James and going to the beach with him.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING HOW TO REMEMBER

 I am grateful to the Almighty for encouraging me to practice yoga.  I learn so much.

Yesterday I practiced in Leslie's class.  Since it was 9/11 she spoke of remembering. She spoke of remembering the good and the traumatic.  However when she spoke about the traumatic, she talked about remembering how resilient and strong you are because you were able to overcome it and move forward.  That so resonated with me.  That is me!  Thank you Almighty!!  I am grateful!

I was able to walk yesterday.  I spoke and texted with Charles.  He will be here after services at 1:30.

I was even able to participate in a Zoom Buddhist Meditation meeting.

Thank you Almighty for showing me the way to remember.

I am grateful.

You saved my life and gave me a new one.

GRATEFUL FOR HEALTH AND HAPPINESS

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me good health and happiness.

Today it is one month that I have been seeing Charles.  We met on August 11.  We will be spending the weekend together too!!  Wow!!!

Today I will practice yoga, walk and have my hair blown out.

Tonight is the beginning of the Sabbath.

I am grateful to the Almighty for the gifts of health and happiness.

GRATEFUL FOR MY SENSES

 I am grateful to the Almighty for helping me to lead a calm life so that I can become aware of my senses.

My entire body is calm so that I can truly be aware of all of my senses.

Last night, after Driveway Dining, I practiced yoga at the studio.  I spoke to Charles and we made plans for the weekend.

This morning I took Matzah to the vet for his bath and shot.

I'm heading to do food shopping today......................

I'm aware of all of my senses. 

I'm grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR THE BLESSINGS OF MY LIFE

 I am grateful to the Almighty for all the blessings of my new life.

I went to a Zoom Sisterhood meeting yesterday and really enjoyed it.  After that I spoke to Charles and we began to firm up the weekend.

Today is Driveway Dining at Rose's and I have a yoga class today!!!

Thank you Almighty for my new life.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW LOVE IN MY LIFE

 I am beyond grateful to the Almighty for the new love in my life.

Charles and I had an amazing Labor Day Weekend.  He arrived Saturday with a boutique of flowers for me!!!!  That was only the beginning. We went to Bayard Cutting Arboretum a place that I had never seen and walked around.  We drove out to Long Beach in St. James. We wet to dinner at Margaritaville Grill in Plainview and Pasteria.

Labor Day we stayed at my house and I made dinner too.

It all works and its wonderful.

It has been an amazing summer from Grandma's Country Club to Driveway dining and now Absolute Yoga is back!!!  I took my first class yesterday with a mask!!!

Charles is spending the weekend at my house!!!  Wow!!

Yesterday I got a manicure/pedicure in two shades of blue.  I spoke to Charles last night and firmed up plans for the weekend.

I have never had so much fun.  I'm learning a lot too.

GRATEFUL FOR WAKING UP HAPPY AND HEALTHY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I am awake and I am happy and healthy.

My life is so much fun!!!!  Yesterday was lunch at Debbie's house.  I walked.  I spoke to Charles and he invited me to join a book club.  I watched an ice hockey game for the first time and Charles will explain the game to me!!!

Today I'm going for a much needed mani/pedi.

Life has become so much fun!

GRATEFUL FOR DREAMS COMING TRUE!!

 I am grateful to the Almighty because He is making my dreams come true.

Charles arrived at 10:30am and he didn't leave until 10:30pm.  He walked Matzah twice. I actually drove to Wantagh Park, a place that I had NEVER been to and we set up chairs with lunch by the water facing the Jones Beach Tower and the stadium.  On the way I showed him where I used to work.  I drove home and we stopped off at a store to buy some fruit and vegetables......a store that I had never been in.

Back home, we smoked some grass.  I set up a salad for him to chop ad I made Sally's Chicken compete with Burned Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflower, peas and carrots.  Wine was served too.  He ate everything and complimented everything!!!!  That never happened to me either!!!

My dream is coming true.......I hope it lasts!!!!

Today I'm going to Debbie's for another Wednesday Driveway Dining!

GRATEFUL FOR BEING ALIVE AND HEALTHY

 I am grateful to the Almighty because I am alive and healthy and able to enjoy life.

Yesterday was wonderful!!!  Debbie, Ronnie, Barbara and I went to Pasteria for dinner and played Mahjong at Debbie's house.

Today Charles is coming to my house to spend the day.  As I write this, I still can't believe it!!!  My plan is to hang out a bit at the house for him to get used to it and my little dog Matzah. We are going to Wantagh Park and I'm driving.  I'm making dinner on the deck for us......a dream come true!!

I am grateful to the Almighty because I am alive and healthy and my dreams are coming true!!
