I am grateful to the almighty for the good health that the Almighty has given me.....physically, emotionally and spiritually.

GRATEFUL FOR MY WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY

I am grateful to the Almighty for creating a wonderful birthday for me.

I did so many wonderful things.  We are in the middle of an Arctic cold spell and so walking at The Home Depot is not an option for the present.   I practiced yoga in not one BUT two classes!!!  I had my hair colored fuchsia and purple in honor of my birthday.  Marty took me to dinner at Sage Bistro to celebrate and gave me a beautiful ring.

I am grateful to the Almighty for the new life that He has given me.

I am grateful to the Almighty because my checkup was quite good.   I am now working on making the next decade the best one yet.  I know that there are speed traps along the way but my intention is not to fall into them.  My intention is to listen and pause.  Before I say anything I will ask myself the following question:  Is it true?  Is it kind??  Most important..........Does it need to be said?  I am grateful to the Almighty for teaching me all of this.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He got rid of the co-op.  I am looking forward to a quiet and peaceful summer.

I am grateful to the Almighty because I have become quiet and peaceful inside myself and that is because of the mediation classes and workshops that I have taken.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING ABOUT FAITH IN MYSELF

I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga yesterday (as I do every day) and learned about having faith in yourself.

This is going to be a tough one for me because ever since I was a child, my parents and later husband tore me apart.

I'm going to take baby steps with the help of the Almighty and make this happen.

PS  Wish me luck!!!   I'm calling the doctor today because I want the office to fax me my 2017 bloodwork.   I will let you know what happens. With the help of the Almighty all will be fine. Tonight is the start of the Sabbath after all.

I started calling the doctor at 9AM.  Finally at 11:30 the report was faxed.  All is well.  I am so grateful to the Almighty for my life.

GRATEFUL FOR THE PRAMA......LIFE FORCE

I am grateful to the Almighty for the prana, the life force that is inside me.  

I am grateful for its energy.

I do wish I had found a mate with like minded prana but it is still a work in progress.

GRATEFUL FOR FAITH

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me the faith to believe in Him.

I know that He is always there for me.

Today I am going back to the doctor for the results of my blood test. (Later:  The doctor/nurse gave me the 2016 results.  I must wait until Friday for the 2017 results.)

I pray to the Almighty that the blood test is excellent.  (I am so upset and angry because of all the confusion.)

GRATEFUL FOR MY THOUGHTS

I am grateful to the Almighty because I ordered a small book called SIMPLE HAPPINESS.

There are 52 small chapters and I am reading one a week.  The first chapter asks you to eliminate toxic thoughts that are doing you no good.  The book explained that you become your thoughts. I am eliminating those thoughts that do not serve me.

Yesterday was a beautiful day as I cleared my mind of unwanted thoughts.

I am proud of me.

I am grateful to the Almighty for showing me the way to good health.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has created a snowy Shabbos and I was able to sleep late.  I was exhausted.

This week I had my doctor appointment and my blood test.  There certainly was drama with those dysfunctional woman.

I am grateful for a day where I can be present and rest, relax and pray.

GRATEFUL FOR NOT CLINGING TO THE PAST

I am grateful to the Almighty because I finally realized with His help that I am clinging to the past.   It is time to realize those girls  are not the way you want them to be but the way they are and that can't be changed no matter how hard I try.

It is time to let go of that which doesn't serve me in the present.

Sometimes memories can seem like the present but they are in the past.  It is time to deal with reality.

I am grateful to the Almighty because it was the Almighty that sent me to yoga.

I have become conscious of nurturing myself.  Last night I went out to dinner/book discussion with my Sisterhood buddies.  I had a wonderful evening.

I came home to order 3 new books.  I love reading.

Tonight I'm having dinner with BOCES friends.

I am enjoying my life and nurturing myself.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has has made me a very intelligent woman.  It is that intelligence that has helped me to change and move forward and to create a successful life for myself.

I am grateful to the Almighty for helping me to let go of that which doesn't serve me.

The past few days have seemed like a vacation as I go about my own life quietly and happily.

I have been to services at PJC.  I have been to the kiddish afterwards. I shop.  I walk.  I practice yoga.  I read.  I clean.  I have lunch with yogi friends.

I am peaceful inside myself.

I'm no one's target and it shows in my happy attitude.

GRATEFUL FOR MY NEW PERCEPTIONS

I am grateful to the Almighty because I have begun to see the world differently and I am happier for it.

I have really begun to LET GO of that which doesn't serve me.  I placed him in charge so that I no longer have to deal with them.  He can make all the decisions and I no longer will be anyone's target.   Whatever he says will go!!!!  

It's because I have LET GO that I feel this way and I am proud of me.

Yesterday I practiced yoga, walked, cleaned the house, did laundry and got to read my book.  They called to see how he was feeling.  I told him that I wasn't home and enjoyed my day.

Thank you Almighty for guiding my steps so that I have reached this point in my life.

I am grateful to the Almighty because it was through yoga that I learned to be grateful for small things.

Now when I am feeling upset, I think about all the different small things that before I would have taken for granted but now I am grateful for.

GRATEFUL FOR THE SABBATH

I am grateful to the Almighty because today is the Sabbath.

I will go to services this morning and thank the Almighty for my life.  It has been difficult but I believe that now I am on a new road.  I will no longer be their target as I turned over all the decision making responsibility to him because there is nothing left to be done and I don't care anymore.

I feel so liberated.

Thank you Almighty for the Sabbath.  Thank you for all my new feelings and my life.

I am grateful to the Almighty because of the new insights that I have had this week.

Life is not like school.  In school one studies and as a result of that one can do very well. I have tried to deal with life like that.  I have done the best that I could possibly do.  However, the results have been dismal.   This does not make me a failure as I did the best that I could do.  I finally realize that I am not responsible for the results or the outcomes.

I need to take care of myself.  I will use baby steps but I will get there.

I shall surround myself with simple gratitudes.

This has been a time of change and transition for me.  The co-op flooded and needs to be fixed and sold.  He needs a replacement of the battery of his pacemaker which will take place Thursday.

Through all of this change and transition, I have been balanced and grounded because I keep doing my daily chores.

There are times that I forget how strong and capable I am.  I become emotional and sad because of  the things that have happened to me.....the latest being the fact that we have to sell the co-op,  his impending surgery to replace his pacemaker-defibulator, and the nasty way that I am treated by those so called daughters.

However it is at times like these that my faith in the Almighty takes over and I realize what a strong and capable woman I am.

It was a very rainy Sunday and after yoga and walking, I began to transition my closets to winter.  This was done quietly and peacefully.  I read for the remainder of the afternoon.  It was glorious.

We want out to dinner on both Saturday night and Sunday.  

I really am grateful for the peace and quiet that I felt this weekend.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL SUKKOT HOLIDAY AND SABBATH

I am grateful to the Almighty for the wonderful Sukkot holiday and the Sabbath to come.

I truly enjoyed services.   They were very spiritual.  I enjoyed the luncheon sponsored by the Conn's and the Wolk's in the Wolk's Sukkah.   I enjoyed kiddish in the PJC sukkah.

Today is the Sukkah Hop after services.  That also is a great deal of fun.

It has been a very joyous holiday. 

He of course did not participate in any of this which made it even more enjoyable.  He chose instead to be silent or to try and begin arguments when I returned.  He has a terrible jealous nature.  As he said a long time ago: "I'm not happy.  You're happy.  I ant you to be as miserable as me."  That is definitely not happening but he certainly is limiting his life and destroying whatever is left of ours.

Thank you Almighty for my wonderful Sukkot and Shabbat to come.

GRATEFUL FOR A PEACEFUL HOLIDAY

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has given me the joyous holiday of Sukkot.

The first day of the holiday was beautiful culminating with a wonderful luncheon sponsored by the Conn and Wolk families.

I am especially proud of the way I ignored his taunts when I got home.  It was as though he didn't exist.  I am so proud of myself for moving forward with my on life.

Yom Kippur ended last night.  I spent the entire day in synagogue praying to the Almighty and asking for forgiveness for my sins.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has made me a strong woman.

Despite the difficulties with the two children (who are now 41 and 38)  I have managed to really enjoy my week.  It was filled with walking, yoga, friends, book discussions and errands before the holidays next week.

In many ways I feel free and glad to be rid of them.  I know this won't last.  They will be back but for now at times during the day it feels like a vacation.

I am grateful to the Almighty for my strength.

My older daughter, the now who won't give her child-to-be, my father's name was invited to our new co-op  four times this summer.  We invited her on a Thursday as we checked the weather before giving invitations.  She turned us down.  I said that we could do it in the Fall but after Labor Day I discovered that no one really comes out.   I told her this and she was furious!! Now she isn't speaking to us.

It's time for me to move on and let go of her and heal.

I am a strong woman thanks to the Almighty and can do this.

I am grateful to the Almighty because by encouraging me to practice yoga, He has allowed me to live in the moment.

I have always lived in the past and planned the future.

Allowing me to live in the moment, allows me to be curious about the moment and accept it. It allows me to appreciate the moment and not to loose it.

This allows me to breathe.

As a result of breathing I can recognize that I did the best that I could do and that I am not responsible for the outcomes or the results.  It allows me to let go of that which doesn't serve me,  see misery in perspective and move on.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has made me a focused  individual.

It is my job to focus on the good in my life and not the bad.

There is a great deal of good in my life.  I need to continue to let go of that which doesn't serve me.  I could do it more easily if those girls simply removed themselves from the equation.  That isn't happening soon.   The older one is still angry that the co-op experience ended after Labor Day because I promised.  I didn't know that the co-op is empty after that.  She remains angry.

It is difficult to remain focused on all the good in my life but I know that the Almighty walks by my side and will help me.

GRATEFUL FOR BEING STRONG AND DETERMINED

I am grateful to the Almighty because He made me a strong and determined woman.

While it is true that faced with a challenge I immediately become overwhelmed and perplexed, given time I re-group and know exactly what to do.

Such a challenge faces me today as the older one is angry that there is no October invitation to our co-op.   After all she turned down the four that we gave her in June and now she feels a sense of entitlement.  She also didn't like being invited on a Thursday for a Sunday an couldn't understand that an invitation was weather related.

Thank you Almighty for making me a strong and determined woman.

It is very unusual for me to have two posts BUT this realization was amazing.

I practiced yoga today.  The instructor's class theme was FREEDOM FROM FEAR.  I went deeper than that and started to think about how I AM BEGINNING TO SEE THINGS THE WAY THAT THEY REALLY ARE.

It was at this point I realized that I AM FREE!!!!!!

I have never had that feeling before and I was grateful to the Almighty that I have come to this point in my life.

Yesterday was the party for the Plainview Summer Reading Club.  I won second prize!!!  It is a gift basket filled with adorable glasses and barbecue items.  I was thrilled!!!!!

Yesterday we went to do Cemetery Sunday.  Dealing with him in a car is not a pleasant experience.  But I was able to use what I learned in yoga to get through it.  No matter what he said, good or bad, insult or not, I listened and paused........asking myself, is it true, is it kind, does it need to be said?  Knowing he was looking for a fight, I said nothing.

I was proud of the new me.

Today I will walk and practice yoga.  Chores need to be done too.

Tonight is the Summer Reading Wrap Party at the library.

GRATEFUL FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND

I am grateful to the Almighty because He gave me the gift of a wonderful weekend.

After services at PJC on the Sabbath, we headed to Westhampton Beach and dinner in a new restaurant recommended by a yoga instructor named Nicey. It was  called The Mill Roadhouse.  It was wonderful.

Sunday I walked and practiced yoga at Yoga Shanti and then we went to the Westhampton Art Show.  This was followed by lunch at Pindar and dinner at Claudios in Greenport.

Today, Monday, I had a private yoga lesson at Yoga Shanti as I was the ONLY STUDENT in the class.

I am speaking to the older one now BUT that's it.

She really is history.  I will not forgive her this time for my Dad's name but I will let go of that which doesn't serve me and move on.

I am grateful to the Almighty for a wonderful weekend and for the ability to move on.

GRATEFUL FOR WHAT IS INSIDE ME

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has made me a strong and capable woman.

I practiced yoga with my friend Hollie as the instructor.  She talks about the fact that everything that we need to survive is inside us.

Although I will drop asking the older one to use my Dad's name as a middle name with the baby I will never forgive her.  Therefore when she accidentally received a text that I sent to her instead of my girlfriend letting my girlfriend know what she was without naming her, I was grateful.  It's out of the box.

She's annoyed though.  Isn't that amazing!!!  This Triad denies everything they do and I'm so glad that I have the strength to move beyond them.

She's a real bitch though.  After all these years of asking to sleep over, go to Omega or come to Westhampton Beach, she has chosen to vacation in Israel in her in-laws apartment with them!!!!

I was grateful to hear that and to learn that I am able to dig deeper into myself to understand myself and be proud of me.  

I am able to let go of that which doesn't't serve me.

It's a load off my shoulders.

I know that I am a strong and capable woman and I'm proud of me.

GRATEFUL FOR MY STRENGTH

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has made me a strong woman.

My periodontal appointment went very well and I'm not due back for six months.

I asked the older one to use my dad's name in her child-to-be's name.  She won't and this created an entire issue with her and the younger one.  I dropped the whole thing because at this point I'm writing them off as I have been doing slowly with each event and holiday.

I am continuing to enjoy the life that the Almighty has given me.

Tonight's Shabbos and tomorrow it's back to services.  The Rabbi is back from vacation and so am I.

We will leave tomorrow afternoon for the co-op and be back Monday night.

Life continues and I do too.  That's strength.

I NEVER realized how much I enjoy being in my new life until we purchased this new co-op and I saw how much I enjoyed being home.  This new co-op has many issues and lots of nasty and crazy lying people.  I'm not sure how I will deal with it for the rest of the summer BUT I am grateful to the Almighty for my home.

GRATEFUL FOR A MINI-VACATION

I am grateful to the Almighty for the mini-vacation that I will have as we go to Westhampton Beach today, Saturday through Monday.

I have shortened the trip as the co-op does not have a functioning pool.

I will be able to walk, read, practice yoga and go to town for lovely dinners.

Tomorrow there is a Revolutionary War (George Washington's army) exhibit on the fairgrounds.

Thank you Almighty.

I am grateful to the Almighty for my life's journey.

GRATEFUL FOR A NEW DAY

I am grateful to the Almighty for a new day.

I am healthy and happy.

Yesterday I visited a friend in the hospital who had a double knee replacement.  I walked.  I read. I practiced yoga.  I did some chores.  Today I will walk and practice yoga.  In addition, there is the Yoga Book Club and the Sisterhood Book Club complete with lunch and dinner.

Thank you Almighty for this new day.

I have been blessed.

GRATEFUL FOR MY MANY BLESSINGS

I am grateful to the Almighty for the many blessings in my new life.

Our co-op is amazing.  It allows me just "to be."

I really enjoyed the weekend.  I practiced yoga at a new study called Yoga Shanti.

GRATEFUL FOR LEARNING WHO I AM

I am grateful to the Almighty because by His sending me to yoga, I truly learned who I am.

This is the anniversary of my mothers death.  It had such a dramatic affect on me and changed my entire life.  

However it wasn't until I began to practice yoga that I learned who I really am and to take joy in being me.

This weekend we will again be going to Westhampton Beach.  We will return on Monday night.

I am looking forward to calm, peace and quiet.

GRATEFUL FOR NEW EXPERIENCES

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the new experiences that I have had since I retired.

My summer days are spent walking and then practicing yoga.

I just completed a book for the Sisterhood Book Club and the Yoga Book Club.

I'm registered in the Summer Reading Club the library and have been writing up reviews of the books that I have read this summer.

Tonight I will attend services as tonight into tomorrow is the anniversary of my mother's passing on the 20th of Tammuz or July 20, 1984.

Thank you Almighty for always being there for me.

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the joy in my new life.

I walked for 2 hours this morning.

I am grateful to the Almighty because in His encouraging me to retire and to create a new life, I learned how TO PLAY.

We will be leaving for the co-op after services today (Saturday June 24, 2017) and returning on Tuesday night (June 27, 2017).

It is my intention TO PLAY that entire time.

GRATEFUL FOR THE BOOK OF AWAKENING

I am grateful to the almighty because He allowed me to purchase The Book of Awakening and I use it daily.

I read the daily selection every morning.

This morning the daily selection spoke of letting go of painful feelings and not allowing them to camp inside you in order to make room for feelings of joy.

I was delighted with this and it has set the goal for my day.

That as well as mindful action should give me all the tools that I need today.

I am grateful to the Almighty for my new life.   The worst is now behind me and I can really appreciate my new life.

I love the new co-op.  I didn't think that I would but I do.  I love the sense of being.  I love exploring the streets around me.  I can walk to the beach, the bay and the town.  The pool is wonderful.  Shopping is great! 

I am happy!

Today I will walk at The Home Depot as there's a heat wave out there.  I will practice yoga and attend two book club discussions.

I am grateful to the Almighty because He encouraged me to practice yoga after a girlfriends suggested that I might benefit from it.

GRATEFUL FOR THE JOY IN MY LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for all the joy in my new life.

I facilitated a book discussion for Sisterhood last night after dinner with my friends.  Everyone said that it was excellent.

I love each and every new thing that I try.

I love using the yogic philosophy in my daily life.  It has helped me from making foolish mistakes.  I love the fact that I know how to do so many poses an have met so many new friends.

This morning I walked and then practiced yoga.

Today I got my hair colored and blown out.  Tonight I will attend a program at Cinema Arts where Anna Quindlin will speak about her new book and we will be given autographed copies.

Last night I attended the last Sisterhood meeting of the year and connected with all my Sisterhood friends.  Tonight is dinner at a place called Tabby's and I will be facilitating the Sisterhood Book Club.

I am grateful to the Almighty because the first part of m Shavouth holiday has been very spiritual and beautiful.

Services were lovely.

The day was serene.

The second day was as beautiful even though Yizkor prayers were said.  The weather was a summer day allowing me to walk for two hours as well as spend time getting a suntan.  I was able to read and just "be." Before dinner I meditated on the deck with a glass of wine.

GRATFUL FOR UNDERSTANDING PERCEPTION

I am grateful to the Almighty because He brought me to yoga and it was through yoga that I met so many new friends and learned so many new things.

Yesterday the instructor spoke about how we see things.  Its all about how a change in perception can change the moment, the hour, the day and your life.

Last night we attended Sabbath services at my friend Jay's synagogue where he is "Rabbi Jay" and his daughter is "Rabbi Jen" two wonderful people that I met through yoga.

I see the world differently now as I realize that there is meaning in every change and transition. It all depends on the way that we see things.

GRATEFUL FOR SEEING "CHANGE" IN A NEW WAY

I am grateful to the Almighty because I practiced yoga yesterday. (as I do everyday).

The instructor spoke of "change" and how one has to recognize when something doesn't work for you and "change" it.  That is your responsibility.  Suddenly the changes that I have made in my life made so much sense and I had no feelings of guilt for what I had "changed."

I had made my own life better.

I am grateful to the Almighty for this.

GRATEFUL FOR THE WAY THE ALMIGHTY CREATED ME!!!!

I am grateful to the Almighty for the qualities that He created in me. 

Yesterday I practiced yoga and heard the instructor speak of these qualities.

I am a very self-determined woman.  That has motivated me to succeed in all that I do.   I do try to move away from negative thoughts and emotions UNLESS I am blasted with them and then I find it difficult.  However my determination forces me to continue to move away from these thoughts and emotions until I am successful.

I am now working on what I can control and what I can't control.  I am working on letting go of that which doesn't serve me so that I can heal.  I am especially learning about my true colors so that I can be rid of false dreams and illusions.  I am determined to speak my thoughts ONLY when necessary.

Thank you Almighty for the ability to use my qualities to help enhance my life.

GRATEFUL THAT THE ALMIGHTY IS WATCHING OVER ME

I am grateful to the Almighty because He is watching over me.

STEADY PROGRESS

I am grateful to the Almighty because He has helped me to make steady progress with my life.

Yesterday after services we went out to the new co-op to enjoy the afternoon.  It was beautiful. I am slowly getting used to the area as I walk and live in the moment appreciating each new sight and sound.

GRATEUL FOR MY NEW LIFE

I am grateful to the Almighty for giving me a wonderful new life.

I created this life after I retired and after the horrific event of July 31, 2012, an event that I accept and am grateful for because it changed my life.

Summer is on the way and with it comes a new co-op in Westhampton Beach.  I will have to watch as he puts on his act for everyone.  That is tough on my personality as what he is doing will be so phony.  However I will have to realize that the act is just temporary and soon enough I will be back to live my real life.

Will I be able to do this???  Now that I am writing to you, I realize that I am fully capable of seeing this as a temporary act, making the most of my summer in Westhampton Beach and moving forward.

Thank you Almighty for allowing me to put this in writing.

I am grateful to the Almighty because every morning I read a daily selection in The Book of Awakening after I meditate and give myself Reiki.

Today's selection death with Burying and Planting.  What especially struck me is that it is true that we tend to carry around what we should dispose of even though we are planting and trying to develop into one's authentic self.

I do that and I am grateful that I read this.

I will try to stop.
